Petg Questions

06 June 2005 - 04:19 PM

I'm a long time reader, but I rarely find myself posting. I only post when I have something insightful to say, or a question such as this one. I recently ordered some PETG off this site: http://www.mcmaster.com/. I’ve used it on my Nitefinder, and I am very pleased. I've found its ID to be slightly larger than CPVC, but smaller than brass. My AT2K barrels were falling off, so I replaced them with the PETG. I was astonished to find that it is almost impossible to ram the darts down the PETG. Ramming in with CPVC is much easier. It’s easy to twist them in, but beyond that is very difficult. They bend over and get stuck. I’m sure the PETG is loser than CPVC, but I can not get it down the barrel. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else, and if anyone has advice. I know FBR is nominal and different for everyone, but this situation baffled me. It shot down my hopes of PETGing an AT3K, so it looks like I might be ordering more brass.

Supermaxx 5000 Problem

20 June 2004 - 12:14 PM

I modded my Supermaxx 5000 by plugging the over-pressure valve and putting a pvc coupler on. I'm going to use a brass barrel in pvc. I did not relocate the tank like cxwq. The problem is when I pump to full pressure the trigger stops working. I pull it all the way back but I don't think the rod moves. Is there any solution to this. Also what is the purpose of the green piece in the trigger system. Do I need to put it in at all? Thanks for the help.

Brass Or Cpvc

Which would you suggest on a Tech Target or Nite Finder, Brass or Cpvc? Also, which is a better sidearm, Nite Finder or Tech Target.

New Airzone Series

21 February 2004 - 10:09 AM

I was at Toys-r-us yesterday getting a Nite Finder and I saw the new airzone series. Has anyone else checked them out? I think people have talked about the Tek Ten, but what about the Blast Bazooka. The Blast Bazooka resembles a X-stream. It has a similar casing, and shoots similar ammo. The difference is its pumping. It looks like it has great potential. Im going to try to open it up soon. I also saw a massive gun the looked a lot like the Ultimater. I couldn't get it, but I'm going to try to soon. It might be really good. The only other thing I saw was some stupid blowguns. Has anyone else checked out this line? What do you think?
