Nice find. Nothing fancy but very functional. One question though, if you run with it, do the darts shake out?

The craft foam keeps them in there really snug. I have slung it up and down as hard as I can and they stay in place.

This is with new-newish darts. I would imagine older worn out darts may be easier to knock loose, but I always start every two day event with 400ish fresh darts.

Crossfire bow with a nylon handle added to the priming rod. Anything with metal was slowing down the plunger (stock spring), the handle in the picture is four nylon spacers and two nylon machine bolts sourced from Ace hardware.

I had several people ask me for additional details on the shotgun mod. So I tried to capture some pics on this one.

Start by cutting out the notches in your 2" thinwall pvc. Note this is a starting point, I smooth and sand the edges to fit.

You should have something like this after cutting your PVC

Now after you trim down the bi-pod nubs pull apart the pvc and slip it on the longshot.

At this point I heated the PVC with my wife's uber hairdryer. After it cooled it was naturally spread out, so it was not "clamped" onto the blaster, but fit loosely.

Add your 1/2 cpvc arms, with your glue/goop of preference.

And use cpvc elbows to raise it up enough to the "bolt hole"

add some foam for grip

and there we go.

For starters psyk that is pretty freaking awesome!

Here is a WIP, I took over the job of "weapon master" for a post apocalyptic larp here in TX/OK that uses nerf for gun/bow combat. I wanted to start working on their longshots and felt the abuse these things see made an integration unlikely, so will shotgun them. Since these aren't my guns and I have several to mod I needed something cheap yet functional.

So here is what I did with a dremel and a hairdryer. Total part cost was under $5

Nothing new, just a detachable blowgun for the AT.
