Hey droogs. I don't post here much, but it's quite wonderful to lurk here.
Anyway, I know a lot of you dig/play HvZ, so I thought I'd mention our forums are online at http://media.goucher...m/smf/index.php . FWIW, I'm a mod there and go by RedCephalopod. PM me if you want to know anything else...

Humans Vs. Zombies In The Washington Post Magazine!

Yep, like the title implies, HvZ has never been in more of media spotlight. We had two reporters embedded here at Goucher last game in Fall 2007, and their respective article and photo slideshow with audio have been posted HERE.
Please note-
1) That watchman in the first slide is ME
2) In the ensuing slide, Matt Sabine and Max Temkin are mislabeled. They're the other way around regarding the pictures they correspond to.
Enjoy! Good nerfing to all and wish me luck...we just started up the spring game at 12 AM this morning and due to both the VTech anniversary and plot details, cannot use any weapons today except socks.

Longshot Random Firing Troubles! Urgent Help Needed- Humans Vs. Zo
01 November 2007 - 10:04 PM
Hello fellows, Goucher's fifth game of HvZ is off to a raucous start. The original zombie has been ID'd, and she's made SIXTEEN kills in less than 24 hours.
Meanwhile, my friend's modded longshot (removed air suppressors, added NF spring) is having some trouble. It fires with out him pulling the trigger. When he cocks it, the dart flies out randomly. When he pulls the bolt back, it fires randomly and jams.
Thanks in advance for aiding the Human Resistance!

The Bbb Spring And The Longshot

As I am a noob, I'm hoping this doesn't evoke too much flaming.
With that said, I'm an avid Humans vs. Zombies player at Goucher. Last semester I had some buddies take out the air restrictor from my longshot and add a BBB spring, as well as a Captain Slug foregrip kit. The thing was a CANNON- loud, huge range, and okay accuracy (but in zombies, I'm more looking for ROF anyways).
Well, the other night my trusty LS went bust. The elbows of the carriage that moves the breech forward snapped off after months of wear and tear from the spring power. I just bought a new LS yesterday.
Should I put the BBB spring in again, and reinforce the O-rings? Should I take out the original spring and have ONLY the BBB spring in there? Am I completely off here? Thanks in advance. I'd order one of the combat springs from Bravo Company USA, but Humans vs. Zombies starts midnight Nov. 1st, so I think that'd be cutting it too close...
Thanks in advance, everyone.
