NoMNE 6.0

20 May 2016 - 08:33 PM

NoMNE 6.0

Date: July 23rd, 2016

Time: We will probably start around 9:45-10am. Most of us will be there early to set up our staging areas.

Location: 434 McBride Road, Fayetteville, GA

Ignore the "park here" arrow; we'll be parking on the other side of that driveway.

434McBride_NerfWar.jpg[/URL]

What to bring:

1) BLASTERS: Bring at least one reliable PRIMARY, a springer PISTOL, and maybe an Awful (shoots less than 15 feet). Stuff breaks, so bring extras. I will be bringing my comprehensive toolkit (and some supplies), however that DOES NOT mean I want to sit out rounds fixing something, you are free to do so if you wish.

- Blaster restrictions: DO NOT bring anything crazy overpowered (homemade airguns, singled Titans/Hydro Cannons/drain blasters). We will still allow the normal singled BBBBs and the like (please use slugs with these). If your primary is deemed to be too much, I WILL ask you to put it down.

- Realistic blasters are dumb.

- Melee is acceptable

- Blaster hits DO NOT count, however this does not mean you can strap a large shield to your blaster.

2) DARTS: You may use stock micros, stefans, megas, discs, whatever. I recommend at least 250-300 darts per person.

- Dart restrictions: no darts with exposed metal. No darts heavier than a 3/0. All darts must have at least one inch of foam. Slugs are preferred above everything else.

LOANER BLASTERS

If you do not have an NIC primary and stefans to use, FOR A MERE $5, you may borrow loaner primaries and stefans from flyingchicken for the day (they’re not crappy, I promise).

Loaner pistols will continue to be free.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other things to bring:
- LUNCH: I would NOT LIKE to see people running off for a 45 minute lunch break. I personally think it is much more efficient to just bring one with you. Trust me, a turkey sandwich tastes just fine after you have been Nerfing for a few hours. You are free to do what you want though.
- WATER: Bring some, IT WILL BE HOT. I would say bring at the very least close to a gallon. Drink plenty.
- SUNSCREEN: the sun will likely be out, and I have gotten some horrific burns. Just do it. (I am sure we can find a burly man to help you rub it on)
- EYE PROTECTION: PRESCRIPTION GLASSES DO NOT COUNT AS EYE PROTECTION. You must be wearing something that completely covers your eyes. I don’t care if you’re over 18 or not, YOU WILL BE WEARING THEM.
- A fold-able chair, these make resting in between rounds so nice (if you have one/can fit one)
- A pop up shelter if you have one to help out with shade?
- Mobstacles if you have them, we will be providing around 10 total but more cover is better.
- Something to lay your blasters out on/in, unless you don't mind them laying in the grass
- Money/blasters for bartering, we like to do a lot of this down here, so bring what ya got.
- Intelligence, Don't be an idiot.
- A good attitude, if you act like a crybaby we will escort you off the premises as a crybaby.
- Do not bring any open alcohol, illicit drugs, or real firearms to this event. Or I will have you escorted from the premises.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GAMETYPES:

What to bring:

1) BLASTERS, Bring at least one reliable PRIMARY, a springer PISTOL, and an AWFUL (if you wish to participate in Awfuls rounds. As well as a 'REKT' style primary if you plan on playing in the unlimited power rounds (full face protection is encouraged for these and kids younger than 18 will need to have a parent present)

- Blaster restrictions: DO NOT bring anything crazy overpowered. No homemade airguns or singled Titans/Hydro Cannons/drain blasters. If I deem your blaster to be too powerful, I WILL ask you to put it down. This rule does not apply to REKT style rounds (except for the homemade airgun ban for the time being).

- Realistic blasters are dumb.

- If you need a blaster, most people will loan you one if you ask nicely.

- Blaster hits DO NOT count, however this does not mean you can strap a large shield to your blaster.

2) DARTS: You may use stock micros, stefans (slugs and domes), megas, discs, whatever. I recommend at least 200 darts per person.

- Dart restrictions: no 3/0s or “deathdarts.” All darts must have at least one inch of foam. REKT rounda may use any dart type (barring 'deathdarts' or darts with a weight larger than a 1/4 slingshot ball)

If you don’t have darts to use, WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED
(kinda). You are free to use darts from the Community Dart Box, but please pick them up with us and return them at the end of the war. The supply is getting pretty limited, so please try to conserve them.
