As some of you may have heard from youtube, Ice bought a Raider off ebay recently. He received it today but is unable to post about it here because of a suspension. So you get me to post his findings.
First, some facts:
Slam fire is holding down the trigger and quickly priming the blaster and it gets the same range as normal fire.
The priming stroke it 4"
The blaster's total length is 27" with the removable stock.
Standard 6 round magazines work in the raider and the 35 round magazine works in a LS
Stock ranges are 25'-30'
The drum mag fits in the mag holder in the stock of the LS
The stock is interchangeable with the RC stock

Nerf Irc Room
01 February 2009 - 12:40 AM
I got sick of the chat over at NHQ booting people randomly, so I made an IRC room for nerf.
The name is #nerfchat and the server is irc.darkmyst.org::6667.
Updated rules, as of Sep 8 2009.
1. No unwanted advertizing or solicitation of other forums, Chatrooms or webpages. (this includes NSFW images)
If someone asks you for the information you are welcome to post it ONCE.(unless its NSFW)
Mass PMing of chat members for such activities will be treated with hostility.
Any "Bot Like" activity like posting links when entering or having a link or incredibly
large exit message will also be treated as a blatant disregard of the rules.
2. No spamming.
However clever it may seem to you at the time, posting the same word or sentence over and over again
will annoy the mods and result in punishment.
3 No scrolling.
Asking if anyone is there every 15minutes until someone answers you is considered scrolling
among other things. Many users have highspeed connections that allow them to be online 24/7
reading back through the days activities is much easier to do if you do not have to wade through pages
and pages of some asshat begging for attention.
4 (new rule) Any suspicious scripts that allow you to bypass being kicked or devoiced will result in
an immediate ban of you, your ISP or possibly your entire Continent depending on the extent of
said scripts.
The mods will devoice you for first and minor violations. If devoiced you can PM the mod and ask them how long or why you were devoiced, you can leave and come back in a few hours or you can patiently read what is going on in the chat until your voice is given back. Anyone who uses any sort of script or rejoin macro to bypass punishment will be kick/banned.
You can use your own IRC client or use an embedded one, such as this, provided by MrBadWrench.

Turret Spacer Templates
09 January 2009 - 02:11 AM
These are templates for the spacers I have lately been using for my turreted nite finders. Whenever I wanted to make one, I would need to get out the compass, make a sketch, etc. So I made these with a geometry program. They are the right size to just print off and use.
These templates are meant to be used with cpvc. I use a 5/8" forstner bit to drill the holes.
8 barrel version
6 barrel version
When you finish, it should be something like this.
I can make templates for different numbers of barrels if there is a demand.

Dt3 Modification
11 November 2008 - 06:05 PM
I finished one of the projects I have on my list.
I have enjoyed FA24's recent instructional videos. I think they more clearly describe what to do than with the traditional writeup.
So I gave it a go and here are the links.

Double Nite Finder: Warthog Style
05 October 2008 - 05:11 PM
I've been working on this for a few days.
On NHQ, Lefty put up a picture of a completely minimized nite finder. I had the idea to make a vertical double nite finder (cole had the same idea a bit later). So, here it the result.
Video
The reason I am making a topic for it instead of just putting it in the mod/pj thread is I want to know if there is enough interest for me to make another and create a writeup.
What do you guys want?
