I've been working on this for a few days.
On NHQ, Lefty put up a picture of a completely minimized nite finder. I had the idea to make a vertical double nite finder (cole had the same idea a bit later). So, here it the result.

The reason I am making a topic for it instead of just putting it in the mod/pj thread is I want to know if there is enough interest for me to make another and create a writeup.

What do you guys want?

A write up isn't really needed, it's quite self explanatory. I thought about doing something like this but with 2 NF's, on on each side of the main one with linked triggers so it would fire all 3 at once.

Clever trigger design, and pretty clean. I understand how it works, but a write up would be nice. You should re-paint it, an it will look exelent.

If at first you don't succeed, add more epoxy.

Yeah, a kid stole the bottom one from me at one point and colored it with a sharpie.
I'm going to fill up the holes with bondo etc. also.

First, I thought it was "meh."

Then I saw that you can shoot one at a time, which is something a Warthog can't do; then I was like, "holy crap that's awesome"

Great job, and while a writeup isn't 100% necessary...well, it's up to you.

Questions that come to mind, however, are:

What did you use to link the triggers? (looks like a metallic "u" shape of some sort)
What did you have to cut on the bottom NF? (looks like you had to cut out a section of the side in order to fit in that metal piece)

This video shows behind the bottom plunger tube.
The metal piece is a random bike part from my garage, but the same thing could be done easier without removing part of the shell by fabricating the u out of sheet metal. I would suggest at least 14 gauge.

The cut out part on the bottom one is just because the metal bit was a tad larger than the space it had.

You HAVE TO make a write-up. like, now. I swear, I will make one of those if you make a write-up.

you know, i was planning on doing something a bit like this a WHILE back. My idea was do make a modded gun that was essentially a brute spiker from halo, but after i saw the rough dimensions of this, i am discouraged to use the NF now. the trigger design is brilliant though.

I are wants your writeup Please. kthxbai.

Sorry, been watching too much arby'n'chief.

-Cpvc that's been under your home for 10 years can shatter. New Cpvc doesn't, unless you enjoy violently beating your gun on a tree.
-If you could figure out how to strap a Vulcan as a hand replacement, that would be sweet. I would just stop there, and run around calling myself Mega Man.

This is awesome, much better than those "double NF's" connected at the handles, which look very awkward to use. The trigger design is very intuitive. I'm thinking about making one of these myself.
Edit: Love the sharpie!
