As some of you may have heard from youtube, Ice bought a Raider off ebay recently. He received it today but is unable to post about it here because of a suspension. So you get me to post his findings.

First, some facts:

Slam fire is holding down the trigger and quickly priming the blaster and it gets the same range as normal fire.
The priming stroke it 4"
The blaster's total length is 27" with the removable stock.
Standard 6 round magazines work in the raider and the 35 round magazine works in a LS
Stock ranges are 25'-30'
The drum mag fits in the mag holder in the stock of the LS
The stock is interchangeable with the RC stock

@Wisp: He says it's more like a Longshot than a recon and there is no turning needed.

ice: boltsled is not affected by plunger, just the metal rod, so it will not snap under pressure of springs

How does the drum mag work? Do you need to twist something, or can you just shove the darts in?
If he's opened it, is it more similiar to the recon or longshot?

If you find out any of that, that would be great.

It looks like its going to be as frustrating to mod as a LS PLUS having the reversible plunger to make the benefits be similar to a recon.

I'll still use it stock...

Anyways, That looks AWSOME!!! Great job with the pics. VERY helpful. I cant wait to see some internal pics.
I think that I would buy two, so that I would have two clips. Now, I really want to know the spring size, and what sort of AR it has...

I'd buy this just for cool factor. Of course, with removing the foregrip to make it more like a traditional shotgun.
The clip looks a bit awkward in the Raider. I guess I'm sticking to Recon clips, because they would seem to mesh better in looks.

How Heavy is the drum mag? Is it well constructed? I was originally consitering using the drum but it looks like it will be too unwieldy. Not to mention the drum mag would be the same size as a Recon.

Watching the video I just realized Ice has he same couch as me O.o.

Anyway that thing looks pretty cool for indoor battles. Can't wait to get one when it's more publicly released.

After looking closer at this gun, it might not be a reverse plunger. It may work like a longshot (with the plunger rod coming out) but having the recon "armed bar". But I guess we won't know until Ice opens the gun up.

I would say WAY better than a recon. I don't know if I got a dud but mine shot about 15ft max out of the box.

Nerfer13: I think that is the best we can hope for at this point. Some people have got recons to hit 50ft flat. If this thing can hit 65, Im buying it for more than just the mag.

I am really intrigued to see how the mag works. I thought it was a wind up or something, like you had to crank that black knob in the middle until a spring caught to push the darts forwards. Guess not. I love how there appear to be no jamming issues.


The nerd-gasm was a little much though...... Im off to meditate.
