hey i found more of the good foam... i can make the plastic bead 3/8 darts again! woot! i did a partially nested CPVC breech-load mod on my maxshot... seems to work pretty well w/ the 3/8 darts
I had some 3/8 darts that worked well in the 1/2 inch CPVC... had to embed a plastic bead in the darts to make them a bit wider, creating a tighter seal. Recently, though, the company that makes the 3/8 FBR reduced its diameter by about 1 mm.... now it doesn't work... i can't make any more of them... but it got maybe 70-80 feet level.... surpising for a dart w/ a plastic bead weight and hot glue on the end (parents won't let me use lead). fired it from my BBB..... i'm gettin a maxshot this weekend... wish i could make more to use wit that...
hey, just thought i'd let you folks know, if you lose the little catch spring while modding the Tts gun, you can replace it with one from an old Secret Shot (my secret shot used to rock. now it's busted, so I used the spring)
