Zombie Party Topeka Kansas May 28

13 May 2011 - 11:11 PM

My friend Mike is organizing a large Humans vs. Zombies game in Topeka Kansas May 28.
He isn't a member here so I'm posting it for him. There's a site with all the game information and a forum and email if you want to contact the organizers or register to attend.

Splitfire Problem

06 November 2010 - 08:03 PM

I got an old Splitfire today, but it isn't working properly. Here's what's happening:

When I pump there's a lot of resistance, I can hear air escape around the pump handle and it pushes itself partially back out of the pump tube.

Sometimes if I pump a few times then take the pump handle out air still slowly escapes from the pump tube.

If I pump then pull the little trigger pieces a very small amount of air escapes around them.

If i push in the valves in the front (barrel side) of the tanks after pumping, a tiny bit of air escapes, then if I pump again they shut.

Note that I already cut the stock barrels down so I could see the valves better and I cleaned and re-lubricated the pump. As far as I can see there isn't any debris in any of the valves.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to fix this? I'd love to get this cool old blaster working so I can shoot it at my friends!

Wichita Kansas War

24 January 2010 - 03:28 PM

It's been too long since we got together to shoot toy guns at each other, let's fix that.

When Saturday, February 20th, 10:00am to whenever.

Location will probably be Boston Park unless we find somewhere else that seems better. Boston Park has some trees for cover and a weird bridge thing that's fun to play on and around. There's a KFC right across the street and a ton of fast food places about a mile away at Lincoln & Rock if you want some lunch.

Games we usually play: Team deathmatch (3/15), Humans vs. Zombies, Defend the Core, pistol rounds, Capture the Flag (2 flag, or 1 flag push).
I think it'd be fun to have an all ball/rocket/missile/arrow round if anyone wants to try it. If anyone wants to try a gametype I didn't mention just let me know.

What to bring: Eye protection. At least one primary and one pistol. Extra stuff since blasters tend to break at wars. Loaners if you're a nice guy. Plenty of darts. We'll probably play some HvZ so you might want something with lots of ammo. If everyone likes the idea for an alternate ammo round then bring something that shoots balls or rockets. A sword is fine too. Stuff to sell or trade. Lunch or lunch money.

What not to bring: Black painted blasters. Other than that I'm not going to make a long list of banned blasters. Just use non-douchebag common sense. If you wouldn't want to be shot with it yourself don't shoot someone else with it. If you know your blaster is so powerful that it'll make the games unbalanced then use something different. Don't bring something that will injure anyone.

So let me know what's up, guys. What date? Ball/missle round? Anything I forgot to mention that needs mentioning?

Wichita, Kansas. August 29th

13 August 2009 - 05:39 PM

A few of my friends are interested in trying a Nerf war so my plan is to use my birthday weekend as a time to get people together and shoot some foam darts at them.

This would be at my house (so please PM me for the address) Wichita Kansas 67204 on Saturday August 29th. I have a big yard with some good cover. I'll get things started around 1pm and go until people are tired of it or hungry then I'll grill some dogs and burgers or something.

If anyone from the NIC wants to come too that'd be awesome, but just be warned that there will be new people.

If anyone is lurking or not yet validated and would like to contact me here's my email:
