I bought 1/2 inch brass up at home depot but it is much to wide for my micro bullets. what is wrong?

I dont have a camera so i cant give any pictures, but i followed exactly what dragonteuthis said and it doesn't work any more. if you want the answer to why brought up a dead post was i am a noob and i dont know what i am doing. so if you have any mods that MIGHT help that would be great.

I did this mod to my mav and it screwed it up, i cut out the straw in the plunger tube and it kind of fixed it, what should i do to fix my gun?
