Homemade Gun?

Hello, I have been trying to make a really simple homemade nerf gun that's powered by air. But all that they have don is shoot for 4 shots then get a big leak. I am trying to atempt this. All i need is the part that the pump connects to to create pressure. What is that part called?

Inline Clip

I was on youtube and saw an inline clip, it looked to have 2 diffrent sizes of petg. I was trying to make one out of 1/2 cpvc and 1/2 pvc, but it didnt work properly. Any suggestions on what i should use?
