Thanks for this solution, my catch plate had been giving me problems and I don't have a hot glue gun and wasn't quite understanding the spring addition solutions, this worked perfectly :)

I figured it out. The AR15 spring popped out of place and the end of it got stuck between the coils of the LS spring, so the plunger couldn't compress enough to cock. I think I need to flatten out the end of the spring so it'll sit better on the end of the plunger.

So I put the Ar15 spring in my LS, and it doesn't catch now. At all. It worked for maybe 10 shots(to great effect) and then just wouldnt catch when I pulled the priming handle back. I've seen other LS's that fire when the handle is pushed forward, but mine won't catch when I pull it back at all.

Anyone have a recommendation on what kind of method to use to cut a (presumably) steel AR15 action spring? I tried wire cutters and I can't get the part I want to cut into the bottom of the wire cutter so it isn't very effective. I also tried using a butane lighter to heat the section of the spring to weaken it, then cut it, but that also didn't work.
