Okay, thanks for all the info. I realize the crayola is a piece of crap, but it's really all I can get my hands on here. (Japan uses the meter system and I can't find any pipes close to nerf size)
It's too short because I cut off the part of the crayola that has the 'fins' or whatever, so what Carbon said about it can't be quite right. Well, it does need a longer barrel, everyone agrees there.
The springs aren't the problem, TantumBull, I just checked and they don't get caught on each other.
RVMTVProductions, the catch spring flew out when I opened the gun.
The darts barely stick out at all.

So, a new barrel, lube, and check for leaks.

One more thing; what should I do to attach a metal barrel to the plastic? I think my epoxy is watered down or something, because It doesn't stick on metal.

I'll have pics up in a day since I can't upload on this computer.

I agree that crayola barrels suck, but could any one or even all of these things combined cause my NF distances to drop 30 or 40 feet?

The darts are somewhat tight in the barrel when I'm using micro stefans.

And I didn't say the plunger was loose.
I don't remeber saying anything was loose at all..

According to the rules, a Necro is posting junk on a dead thread. I believe that this isn't a necro since I'm just telling everyone who posted in this thread or is curious in the about what happened after I modded this knockoff.

Well, after I returned home to my tools and really worked on this gun, I realized that it was mostly a piece of crap. It looked and shot better than a NF out of the box, but it can't take any pressure. I took out the flashlight area and gave it a metal barrel. It looked pretty good. I didn't do anything internally other the cut out the AR. After a hundred shots, the rod or whatever you pull back snapped clean in half. I wasn't bending it or anything. Cheap plastic.

It turned out to be worth it, however, because the knockoff spring is much stronger then the real NF spring. It also fits right inside the real NF spring, so now my real NF is a beast.

As I said earlier, I'm just finishing the topic and finishing the story, so I don't think it broke the rules.

More info on the buying: Shipping to any USA location except military bases like the one I'm at here in Japan and maybe Guam will be roughly like buying a vulcan on ebay. Crazy expensive. I didn't find it at the 100 yen store, I found it at the store next to it for 1800 yen. BUT... What I can do for those willing to wait is mail the guns when I go back to the USA on vacation this summer. Depending on the amount of interesed buyers, I'll only be able to get my hands on four or five. If you want it shipped, it probably be about 30$ including the gun
