Assassin

Last year someone at my school organized a nerf assassin game. Basically, the rules sucked, and I won't waste my (and your) time explaining them. It is actually when I started getting into nerf. Anyway, I want to start another one of these games because the concept is so much fun, and I like winning money.
Ideas:
- Small teams, around three or so
Last year we had large teams (5 or 6) and that sucked because they are too hard to coordinate
- Points
You kill someone, you get a point, etc. Haven't worked out the specifics yet. However, I want to incorporate an elemination system as well, as in when you get shot, you're dead.
- Short respawn times
I want to maximize fun and keep people interested. This was probably the thing that sucked the most last year.
- Safe areas
I really don't want to bring a gun to the ACT
I looking to fine tune this bad boy and get it started. I would appreciate any suggestions or past experiences! I know I have a story or two myself.

I'm doing a simple spring replacement (#49) and barrel replacement (1/2" PVC) mod on my NF. The problem is, the #49 spring is so strong that epoxy alone will not hold the assembly together. What I mean is, when the gun fires things tend to pop off/out of place. I have looked through many threads for an answer and I have learned plumber's goop or caulk may work well to hold everything together. I'm sure someone has had the same problem as me and I am wondering if someone knows a solution.
Assassin

I'm sure you are all aware of Nerf Assassin. I find that it is very, very fun, and was just wondering how some of you have run games in the past. One that I recently participated in was structured like so: 6 teams, 5-6 people each. The first round had 3 brackets of randomly selected groups of 3 teams who would face each other. Basically three 1v1v1's going on at once. The first teams to get eliminated in each bracket would go to the 3rd place bracket to compete against other loser teams. Second team to get eliminated would go into 2nd place bracket, etc. The winning teams of the second round brackets would win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place money depending on which bracket they won. To keep the game going, at least one kill was required by each team every week, otherwise a team member had to be sacrificed. There were some pretty lame rules, such as you needed to wear your team color to get a kill, shields are allowed, and no home made darts. It was still fun, and I was just wondering about some of the NIC's assassination experiences.
E-tape On Plunger Head
27 August 2008 - 08:57 PM
I have read about wrapping electrical tape over the plunger head for a better seal in a number of write ups. Particularily this NF mod. I have a nite finder myself, and when I tried it the range seemed to be decerased a bit. Any tips for properley executing such a mod?
