Nerfers avoid mi-sim because it complicates things greatly with local authorities. Dressing up in camo and having a realistically painted nerf gun do not go well with cops. Plus it freaks people out. Mil-sim airsofting and paintballing work because they are done in non-public areas for the most part. The majority of where people nerf is public areas.

In short, you will be despised if you show up to a nerf war with a realistic blaster and camo. Just do that somewhere non-public and we won't give a shit.

so your telling me you'd rather be seen in public with a purple and blaze orange nerf gun.....than something less, noticeable? (and I use that term loosely)

And is it really that hard to play in a wooded area, or maybe even someones large backyard? I live in a verry populated area, and I can still find a place away from the general area to play with my "oh so discraceful, realistic blaster"

You want MilSim, play Airsoft. This is Nerf. You can't MilSim well with it.

Then if its "NERF", how can you play zombies vs humans? Should you only be constricted to games that are only "nerf" games? Im only trying to find more realistic nerf games.

In Topic: Cell Phone Gun Sight Idea...

You would have to use very thin wire. Also use an angle bracket for keeping it at a 90 degree angle.

Well thats why i was going to use the plastic, but thats a good idea. I just need to figure out a way to not block the buttons on the side, and a way to mount the sight on something and it still be removable/adjustable.

Has anyone considered taking a flip phone such as the Razzr or a phone of that style, and modding it into a digital gun sight? I mainly had this idea for My paintball gun, but could be applied to any gun. Any ideas, suggestions, or oppinions? Im deffinitly going to pursue this idea so anything would be appreciated.

Seems like a waste of money, unless of course your phone is broken. Are you implying that you would utilize it's camera?

Well yes of course, I have an old razzr that i no longer use becouse I got a new phone. My idea was bassicaly to take the phone and open it about 90 degrees, and cover the 90 degree angle with a triangle made out of plastic or something, that corisponds with the measurements of the phone...if that makes any sense. And then use some sort of thin wire or fishing line to make a crosshair overtop the camera lense.

Who the hell do you use the longshot? I don't see any way of priming it, unless the shield doubles as a foregrip.

The longshot is just a prop for my holloween costume but its fully operational other than the removal of the priming handle.Im actually going to cut out a notch where the priming handle will slide on the sheild and of course paint the handle itself, but yeah, good question :)

Hey guys, maybe the other side has the charging handle!

[/end common sense]

[/end actually reading what you're correcting someone about] :D

Allright, look. i realize that the gun is mising its priming handle, but im about to change that.
Like i said befor, im going to cut the sheild in order for the priming handle to slide smoothly in in out of were its supposed to be. Or i could use some astro glide, haha. and i will of course paint the priming handle with the same scheme.

Oh, Bomberman, i was Baldur from Too human. My costume was just a bunch of dirt bike pads and a robe, but it looked pretty good. And it kinda explained the 'Norse' design on the sheild.
