7.62/ak pouches hold one nerf mag. Double ak pouches hold 2.
556/m4 pouch dont hold nerf mag. Double m4 pouch holds one.

This holds 6 18s and lots of other pockets. lots of HVZers use this

You don't really need molle systems, and this vest suffices very well for a lot of people.
It's also cheaper lol, and no that vest you linked does not work. It looks like it holds one m4 pouch each which is not enough

I use this rig. Very, very comfortable. Excellent if you just need to carry some magazines and the side pouches can hold a Hammershot or Nitefinder if you don't have a holster. Not the best for BoomCo, though. Each pouch can only hold one BoomCo clip comfortably. I'd say it's the best for the price.

That's $210 for the kit "and" the shell.  Even the full Xplorer Trooper kit with the hybred metal sled is going for around $200 right now.

Now this is a lot better. I could get behind this price if the performance was there.  Is there any plans for anything other than spring-powered blasters, like AEG or airguns?

You can grab worker kits for a higher price off of ebay, but the shipping is free it seems. Gavinfuzzy will probably be similarly priced after shipping. Otherwise you kinda answered your own question.

What's your price range?

Apologies if that is a little to direct/unprofessional of a question. (I really enjoy Xplorer's designs and kits!) I've read that Xplorer products are priced the way they are because of the manufacturing process, but one of the many

appeals to nerf, at least in the US, is a lower price point than Airsoft or Paintball.

I feel like Xplorer's overall limited appeal in the states is less because it is more "milsim" but more because the blasters cost almost as much as a semester's worth of community college. Especially in the US, there are many other avenues to get similar performance out of a blaster for magnitudes less.

In Topic: Elec springer vs flywheel

01 November 2016 - 07:57 PM

I'm probably just going to parrot everyone else here, but I'll try to keep it brief.

Electric Springers/AEG

-Slower rate of fire depending on system. (Sometimes)

-More consistent because of mechanical nature. (Arguable.)

-Certain blasters (Stampede, Vulcan) are larger, heavier, and have less minimization potential because of the size.

-Certain blasters more complicated to modify. (Swarmfire is a notable exception to this.)

-Higher power requirements? (I think. Take me with a grain of salt)

-Limited availability of mechanical parts. (Wiring kits are easy to find, but gears are nearly impossible. This is a big one concerning the Stampede.)

Flywheels

-Can achieve very, very high rates of fire.

-Repeated shots will lower performance marginally because physics.

-Can achieve smaller sizes because of easily movable components. (Swarmpistol/Rapidpistol for example.)

-"Easier" to modify. Still requires special tools but overall the systems are much simpler compared to AEG setups.

-Readily available replacement parts, seems like the motor drought has passed.

-Sweet lord they can get loud.

That's everything I know for sure-ish.

Also whey I say "modify" I mean full rewire, new battery, ect. IMO, If you're gonna mod any of these blasters you might as well just go all the way instead of mucking around with WhateverFires and IMR stuff,

it just seems like half-solutions that aren't worth the money.

EDIT: Forgot to finish my post. Overall I'd say go with a flywheel, especially if it's your first mod. I'm not gonna take the time to mess with my stampede until I can get some better gears for it. Flywheels are really simple systems and have incredible potential for modification and customization. If you're dead set on a springer-style blaster then I'd say just cut the electric out of it and get an Elite Alpha Trooper or slap a pumpgrip on a Retaliator/Longshot. Would probably last longer and it's way easier to work with.
