Thanks! It took a long time to find enough good and simple techniques to put this thing together. The process is super simple and could be done in a day by any one, even nerfers.

When I suggested the Rival round, it was thinking about the foam of a Mega dart expanding and plugging the barrel or creating too much friction to get the initial movement that you need. There might be nothing to it, but in my experience spheres roll easier than cylinders.

Montymarks, no one is trying to use this in a war. Udsaxman just wants to put up some big numbers and maybe destroy a soda can or two.

I contacted OMW to see how many of the Recon kits they have left, but they would not tell me. 

I have made a few Longshots using a very similar technique. With the same spring load,I am getting fps ratings in the 200's as well. Way to go!

Langley, there is no practical reason to do this. The Ret. shell has been on the market in one form or another for a long time, a lot of people like it and its ability to break down and customize with accessories. I wanted to see how far I could take it in terms of power and durability.  I could have done this with any of the Elite CS blasters(EAT, Rampage, etc...) but the Ret is my favorite. Also, there was never a Sonic version of the Longshot.
