One question, a couple statements.

How much did this cost?

Sell this thing for ten times more than that on ebay. People will go apeshit over this. I wouldn't be surprised if someone killed you to get this. Words cannot say how great that monster is.

In Topic: Nerf Elite- Blue Paint

For one your project will be far easier if you start with a blue longshot. The 1st gen blue longshot color almost perfectly matchs the elite blue. The 2nd gen blue longshot color is slightly off but still pretty close to elite blue. If you don't want to go spend a little and get a blue longshot, make sure you use krylon fusion for plastics. Not sure what shade you will want but that paint is very high quality and I highly recommend it

All you are really doing is giving the plusbow one piece sideplates and a fancy stock. Cut the catch area width down 1/8 on each side and make sure to get 1/8 inch shorter standoffs for the handle too. For making the sideplates just overlap the templates.

For the stock, just trace whatever shape you want, it's really straightforward and there is no template availible as far as I know.

Also, I hope you have made a plusbow before so you know how everything goes together and it will help you understand exactly what changes need to be made to replicate this one.

In Topic: Spring replacement for Nite-Finder

Use a home depot handyman spring. I think the product code is SP 9713. just search that at the home depot website.

If you have an ace, true value, or any other place that sells springs made by century springs, go to that place and get the 4" long by .875" wide compression spring. These are by far the best and easiest springs to use in a nite finder.

addendum: I see that you want 70-100 feet out of it, those ranges out of a nite finder are really only possible with couplering a draw extended nite finder, or replacing its internals. Or just go buy a pistol splat.

You are right. A nite finder probably won't get 70-100 very easily, but it is certainly possible, you would probably need a draw extension or if you're feeling brave, a nite finder rifle. IMO, you should use an elite blaster with a spring replacement, probably a 5 kg from omw or 7 kg omw would be a pretty good replacement for you, plus it's clip fed.
