A possible non-nerf 3D print comission...

07 September 2014 - 06:56 PM

Greetings fellow nerfers! I come to you in need. I am, in addition to being an avid flinger of foam, an occasional tabletop general(Mordheim, Necromunda, and the like). In my quest to build my own little citadel of geeky awesomeness, I have managed to horde many old dusty RPG-type treasures, not the least of which being a complete Necromunda box set. To those unfamiliar, it would take a long time to describe it as anything other than "warhammer 40k-like". Anywhoo, included in the original box were a series of plastic "bulkheads" designed to serve as the framework for the included cardstock terrain (or whatever other shapes you hack out of 1mm plasticard).

My question is this- any of you folks out there interested in running off a few of these for a reasonable fee? I understand the process is not a free one, and am willing to compensate for your time and resources. In addition, I am not the most well versed in how this technology works. A quick look at the dreaded thingiverse yielded no results, so I imagine the mockup/digital scan may have to be created as well (again, I'm a dinosaur and speculating wildly here).

At any rate, if this is a project that holds any interest to someone, feel free to let me know via response here/PM and we can hammer out details. And, of course, in accordance with the "off-topic paranoia", if this post is in some regards out of line, apologies- I just wanna play wit' me army men!

Thank you one and all for your time.

Demollisher rockets...titan interchange?

12 August 2014 - 10:51 AM

Just curious if anyone's checked on the fit between the new demolisher "grenades" and titan rockets. Based on the weapon's size, I'd have to assume they're too small, but I haven't had a chance to hands-on one yet.

Range Master Darts?

01 August 2013 - 05:40 PM

One thing Everyone seems to notice right away with their Rangemaster is the absolutely NOT standard darts that come with this blaster. The things are durn near fiberglass. I've been toying around with a few to very good effect in some other blasters (the high density and extra Buzz Bee width has led to barrel issues in some but overall I've been getting about an extra 8-12 feet out of anything that will shoot them). My question is this- does anyone out there happen to know if these darts are available as an OEM refill? Buzz Bee has about 20 different packages of refill darts in various sizes, and the price difference (I.E. 14.99 for a 24 pack, as well as 17.99 for a 51 pack) might lead one to believe that there are different manufacturing specs. Sort of like the J, K, W, A, and E-type darts nerf manufactures, only with a drastically larger quality difference between them. Alternatively, If someone had some ideas as to a decent facsimile material (FBR is not dense enough due to it's original intended purpose), I would be forever in your debt.

Thank you for your time, I will now slink back to my hole and continue my pre-WANO tinkering.

8/4/2013- I have found the answer to my own question, if anyone else happens to be curious it is item number 41870 from the BuzzBee corporation for a 12 pack. No stores really seem to bother carrying these refills alongside the cheaper standard ones, though, so you will have to contact the company directly.
