using vinyl tubing connectors would be more secure than 1/4 inch brass,
and adding cpvc or petg barrels on the backup guns would greatly improve the ranges

I'll keep the vinyl tubing connectors in mind. As long as the connections are properly sanded before gluing I have never had any problems with this type of hose connection. If it starts leaking between the brass and the hose I'll just slide part of a Bic pen tube over the plastic tubing. The reason I haven't secured the tubes this way yet is I would prefer the tubing to slip of the brass as opposed to the tubing exploding do to over pressure.
