Anyone Play MLB: The Show on the PS Vita?

29 August 2017 - 09:46 PM

If the title applies to you, have you ever experienced freezing issues on load screens or error messages while watching replays of a particular play, such as a home run? I'm playing the 2014 version of the game, but I'm asking if anyone has this problem in any version, given how rare this console is.

Anyone have freezing issues in general on their Vita and if so, how did you fix it?

Thanks!

5 cents per bottle deposit

01 August 2016 - 05:58 PM

Are any of you New Yorkers coming to Apoc able to cash in water bottles for 5 cents? If so, how do you do it? I have a bunch of 500 ml water bottles that say 5 cents for NY deposit.

Rapidstrike Battery Mod

23 January 2016 - 02:11 PM

There are a lot of questions about how to do an electrical or battery modification to a flywheel blaster, such as the Rapidstrike. This brief write up will explain one way to use a rechargeable battery pack without modifying the major portions of the blaster. All that's modified is the Rapidstrike's battery tray.

Advantages of this mod: very easy to do, assuming you have soldering and R/C experience, yet will give a substantial increase in performance (ROF and FPS). You do not need to open the blaster itself.

Disadvantages of this mod: not the most efficient (electrically speaking), requires soldering skills and necessitates the user to acquire a rechargeable batter pack (LiPo, Li-Ion, NiCd or NiMH).

The following pictures show a side-by-side 6 cell battery pack using 2,000mah Eneloop AA batteries and a Deans Micro Connector.

This is such a simple mod and I know many of you have either seen it or done it yourself. However, for some of the newbies out there, these pictures should hopefully explain the basic idea of one type of battery mod.

The pictures explain it all:

My Modified Stryfe

03 January 2016 - 03:02 PM

Here are pictures of my recently modified Stryfe. I did the following:

- Enlarged and modified battery door and compartment to handle special 6 AA cell Eneloop battery pack

- Rewired with 20 AWG silver low resistance wire

- Installed MTB Rhino motors

- Installed a 10 amp micro switch

The stock is from a Lightning storm super soaker and the mags are just Stampede and Rayven mags expoxied together.

Styfe motor replacement: "Cade" motors

07 December 2015 - 04:35 PM

So I did a little research about possible Stryfe motor replacements. Apparently there isn't a strong consensus like there is with the Rapidstrike. I did come across the recommendation of putting "cade" motors in the Stryfe.

Does anyone know which "cade" motors these are? Stockade or Barricade? Or are they the same?

Thanks.
