Guys, I am doing alot of work on my ABBB it will be re-displayed with a few changes hopefully soon. It should be within the next month. I dont wanna spoil anything yet

Z80, Are you saying that your darts become upright? My darts in the clip aren't perfectly straight. They kinda fit in like a zig-zaggy pattern. Either way they fall into the open breech just fine.

Oh...you run a staggered stack, or double stack. Gotta add that to something over on bolt's forum...

I'm gonna attempt this thing sometime later in the week. Hopefully it will turn out at leasat half as well as angel's did...

Good God, how did I miss this recent entry? You've taken my idea and made it much more durable and practical. Congratulations, what I came short in developing into a sensible version due to time limitations, you've gone all the way with. I hope I don't sound like I'm trying to take credit here, what you've done is great.

One thing I notice that differs in design, though, is the way your breach system works. The reason my system was a bit awkward was due to the inside slider as opposed to the much simpler outside slider. My reason for going with the inside slider was that there would be no change from larger to smaller diameters as the dart exits, and the effect of an ideal BBB barrel would be created each time a dart is chambered, with no rough surfaces for resistance and all the proper diameters. This seemed to be a positive change, to go to a simpler plan which probably results in perfectly useful ranges.

Another difference was that you used the upper slider to attach to the loader, which was something I had initially envisioned before needing leverage for the inner slider; of course using the lower (larger) sliding shell to attach to would be impractical when using large plastic piping as you did.

A last difference I'd like to point out is the use of a deodorant stick for a clip. While this is fine for you specifically (and the lid makes it very convenient), the deodorant stick is not a standard size, so people may not be able to reproduce it as easily. If you can make a receiver, the audio tape case is reliably the perfect size for stock darts and stefans cut to the proper size.

Sweet work Forsaken, reap the rewards of a high ROF BBB. Here's to hoping I don't sound presumptuous.

Well for me, the cassete clip wont fit stefans well. Also, I always use the right guard extreme gel deo, and its the perfect size. I actually mostly fixed the jamming problem by attaching a peice from an LBB barrel cut in half to cradle the first bullet. This makes the stagger less extreme, and distrbutes force better.

Forgive me if this have been asked already, but how did you attach the CPVC to the brass (bolt)? It says "Epoxy/Goop" in that paragraph, but I think that was for attaching something else together... I've always had trouble attaching things to brass (except... other... brass...), so thanks much (and sorry again if I missed it somewhere)!

I used Plumbers goop. It says right on the package that it has great adhesion to both brass and pvc. Even though I connected Cpvc to brass instead I figured it will still work. After firing around 500+ shots I am seeing a little wear, where the plumbers goop rubs up against the cut PVC.

Ok guys, all I need to do now is range test and I will post all of the final modifications. It's taken me some time to perfect this gun but now I beleive it is a true masterpeice.

ABBB reborn! (Modifying a modification)

Alright first lets talk about the little peice I added inside the 9/16" brass. It is a half pipe of 17/32" brass. The darts need a little push to get in there but that is what the weighted dart is for. This helps them get nice and snug.
I like my ladies like spring fired stefans like their barrels, Tight in the bottom.
Here is a pic of the half pipe I cut for the bottom of the breech opening.
Posted Image

Next lets talk about the improvement of the weighted dart. I found it was heavy but not nearly as heavy as I wanted so I replaced the 5 or 6 7/0 fishing weights with a 3/8 steel rod. I dremeled it to the right size and crammed it into the chopped stock dart. It took some time but It went in there. Now it weighs probably around 1.7 times as much as before which is great because it will now push the darts all the way into the half pipe. I covered both ends with hot glue that is flush with the foam so there will be less chance of it snagging or something. Here is a pic of the foam and the steel rod I used.
Posted Image

Now lets talk about the clip. I did some work with the clip so it is no longer a staggered stack. I took two peices of tape cassette and trimmed them down so they would fit nicely against the two rounded sides. I used plumbers goop to hold them in place because it is a good adhesive and it is clear. The darts no longer flip out of place because of the large rounded sides. Next I took some cardboard and photo paper and stuck it in between the two peices of trimmed tape cassette. I used hot glue to seal them inbetween the tape cassette peices and deoderant stick to help them stay there. This stops the darts from staggering and helps prevent clip jams. Here are some pics of the new clip from step 1 to finish.

1Trim down deoderant stick as said in first post
2 Add clear plastic or plexiglass to the round sides using goop. Make sure the clear slides go an inch beyond so they can guide the darts all the way from the deoderant clips lid. which is going to be gooped onto the ass end of the deoderant stick for more dart room and a better look.
Posted Image
Posted Image
3 Now slide your cardboard in so the darts are less loose. (They should be able to slide/roll freely still) Hot glue around both top and bottom of cardboard to help keep it from warping and such.
4 Glue the open ends between the clear slides and the deoderant clip for better support.
Posted Image
5. Add a photo you enjoy to the back of cardboard that is going to be face out to hide dart count from opponents.
Posted Image
Now you have a finished Angel Clip. It can hold 6 2" stefans + one weighted dart.

I found about 450 feet of that black foam so I switched back to it and with the 17/32" half pipe I am getting much better range, accuracy and velocity.

Range tested on a sunny day with barely any wind. Tape measured.

82'
79'
84'
82'
80'
83'
82'
Random neighbour came out looked at me from 82 feet away picked up one of my darts and went back inside without saying anything. Weird eh?

As you can guess I am very pleased with this change. It is a 20 foot range increase and the accuracy is amazing and the velocity has gone up too.

I took a new video but I have to be honest here. I was very tired when I filmed this I was kinda going nuts. So turn up your speakers and enjoy! (Nothing scary is going to pop out and yell) I hate those. A few things went wrong in the video and I was firing faster than usual so I wasnt aiming well and the last dart jammed on me but anyways here is the vid. ABBB reborn with a side of madness.

I'm sort of new to modding (modded a sm750, longshot, at3k, and blast bazooka) and was wondering how to attach the clip to the barrel. If I see it right is that the deo bottom already attched to the barrel and you just take the clip and put it in.

They are even online now so you really don't have an excuse for not doing the research yourself. At the Haven we'll give you the tools but we won't do it for you.

This is why I barely ask questions here. Ok. I searched and couldn't find anything. That is why I asked my question. I'm not to lazy to look but I think if people can just answer a simple damn question without...

we'll give you the tools but we won't do it for you.

Then just don't answer the question at all. I am not going to argue the point or anything so I guess an admin can close this.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Good question: The receiver is made from the lid of the deoderant. Not the bottom. If you were to use the bottom of the deoderant clip then the clip would be alot tougher to pop in and out of place.

Wait, so do you have the top of the clip closed off, so you put the weighted dart in first, then the other darts, and you pop it on? I also can't get my darts to stop going in headfirst. I'm probably doing something stupid though.

I know that moses has been already corrected for posting in a thread that is extremely old and out of date, but I thought I'd touch on something else.

I hope I'm not stepping on Piney or One Man Clan's toes here, but as a modder, I'd like to express this one out.

Moses, you ask for an entire listing of what is needed in terms of materials and what needs to be done to complete this mod. What escapes me, is, you are in the correct place for both. The first post in this thread has everything you need, and Forsaken Angel even updates his mod with new steps to make things easier and better for you.

This is what is called a modification write-up. It allows others to duplicate this modification. It's sole purpose for existing is to help people, like yourself, build incredible nerf guns. If you took the time to actually read the entire thing, you would know that all the information you seek is already in there. Why the post about asking for everything handed to you in a nutshell? It's already there! Angel and myself spend a lot of time documenting modifications and writing these things up. The effort required to read the thing is a whole lot less than the effort spent in writing it.

I can tell that you haven't read the mod at all because your question isn't even specific. It's all there. If you get confused about a step, then I suggest you PM the mod creator (or others that have successfully duplicated the mod) for advice. Do not ask them for a write-up (a list of all that is needed and approximate amounts and steps to building it) because that is already right here.

Seriously man, that's the entire reason write-ups exist. Utilize that. Asking for things like you did is like asking us to package everything you need to know in a concise, clear manner.

Then of course, that is exactly what mod write-ups are.

I did read the mod. I misread something as a diameter instead of a length. For that I do apologize. And I do agree the mod was excellently written. The steps are clearly listed and that wasn't the problem. Once I went and reread it again, I found what I was looking for. What I was asking for was a complied list of all needed items such as:

1'5" - 1/2" cpvc
plumbers goop

etc etc. And as you said it is all said in the document, I just misread something. As for necroing the post, I'm sorry. But you would rather have me start a new post about Angel's mod to the BBB?

Frost: I understand what you mean completely. While I did read the mod, I did misread a section causing my confusion. While I understand the passion you have to pour into modding, especially even more to write it all up, it is very discouraging to get bitched out for your first post, when yes they answer was there. Honestly people make mistakes. As I said I saw the major thing I was missing, but still my question was legit. I was asking for a compiled list of all required items to make the mod. Many mods I have read have them, and I was asking if there was one for this. I don't want a concise, small document, cause I know often it would be impossible to clearly describe how you did something this way. But a summary of items at the start just helps know what all you have to buy to start on it. Cause honestly when I go to do this I would rather have all the stuff with me and grab what I need when I need it, instead of making 4-5 trips back to the hardware store to get a different pvc pipe size.

Anyway, thank you for the responses. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes.

Be sure to post a picture of it in the modification picture thread when its done.
I also wouldn't recommend doing this mod as your first.
Pick up a Nite finder instead and do that at least first.
If you need to talk more about this do it through pms.

No, the darts are magically transferred through the barrel by magical forces that Angel refuses to share with us... make sure you use the same brand deodorant clip as him or it will not work.

Yes it does. If you just added a deodorant clip to a barrel, you'll have massive power loss and/or the clip actually being blown off. So yes, that brass breech that is described in the first post is needed.
