Here is my Evil-2k, nicknamed "The Alien"

This is my first paint job, and my only cosmetically modded gun, besides a NF golden gun (under construction).

Here's my BBB. It's "clip" modded and can hold around 14 darts. It can only go around 55 ft. average though, but sometimes it can hit 60 ft(again I think its because of my stefans... they go 50 ft. now and then they fall sharply to the ground). It has a laser pointer on the bottom of the barrel for shooting targets and NOT for use in war. The At3k pump handle helps with the grip. The stock is made of brass and couplers. It is strap compatible and has a nice feel to it. I kind of modeled it after the Halo Battle Rifle, but it doesn't exactly look like it. This is one of my most best mods even though I used more duct tape than I wanted. Anyways, enjoy the pics:

Posted Image

Edit- Feedback anyone? I put electrical tape over the duct tape to make it less shiny. Oh, and seriously Trogdor, resize your pics its messing up this page!

NiteWalker, that is an awesome BBB, but the e-tape/Duct tape is sorta ruining the appearance. (But the E-tape does look better that the duct tape) Either paint your Cpvc, or wrap e-tape around it so it has even lines spiraling around it, it looks really cool- I did it on my Evil-2k turret, (back a few posts) but when it was painted green you can't see it as well anymore.

Just a suggestion, and keep up the good work,

KLM, a.k.a. TheVeg

Nite Walker: cut off the rear scope, shorten your clip, give it a paintjob and there's your BR. No joke. I'll do it for you if you want.

Frick, that'll be sweet.

Thanks for all the suggetions and comments. I'll try to get rid of some of the tape some time soon. And thanks for the offer Flaming, but I can do it :) . How much do you think I should shorten the clip? I was thinking of cutting the rear scope off, but I was too lazy to do it. I'll update as soon as I make it look more like a BR. Oh, and what color do you think the paintjob should be?

Edit- Ok, Im going to list some of the cosmetic mods I might be going to do:
-Cut off the scope thing at the back(done)
-Shorten the clip a bit(done)
-Paint flat black(done) with a thin metallic grey coating(more heavy on some areas)
-MAYBE add a bit of a rail to put a small scope on just for looks(done)
-MAYBE make the stock thing a bit bigger (done)

Pics are going to come out soon!

I'd suggest painting the thing all flat black, and then lightly spraying a mist of metallic grey or something on it. Just enough so it gets on the shell, but doesn't fill in all the cracks. It'd look a good deal like the BR in the picture you put up. So you kinda see what I'm getting at, take a look back through this thread. Some guy did a Maverick in pretty much the same color scheme.

Then, when you finish painting it and whatnot, whatever you do, PUT SOMETHING BRIGHTLY COLORED ON IT.

I can't think of any other color scheme that would really fit the BR look that you're going for, so you'll just have to be REALLY careful. Don't let anyone ever suspect at a distance that it's real. Tie a nice LONG piece of orange marker tape dangling off the barrel or something. Just don't take it out and use it without something to show it's fake.

The battle rifle is done(well execpt for the metallic spray paint)! I added a rail, a fake scope, I shortened the clip, I made a bigger and more comfortable stock, I cut off the rear scope thing, and I spray painted it black.
This is porbably my best looking mod yet. The reload barrel position is adjustable. Here is the pic:

Edit#2-Sorry I didn't think I would get so much comments. Anyways, I'll delete some pics of my bbb. Oh, and Falcon, I do not have any problems with the guns in wars. Nothing on my BBB breaks off easily since they are gluled on hard. Actually, I've had less problems with this than with my other clip BBB.The only real cosmetic mods was the stock enlargment(made it more comfortable) and the rail which is solid. And yes, the tube is 1/2 inch. cpvc that acts as the "clip".

Edit #3- Thinking about what Piney said, I am going to make a topic about my BBB in maybe 4-7 days since I have a new update(yes I work a lot on one gun)! Deleted all pics execpt for 1 in each post.

Praise to the BBBBR. (Big Bad Bow Battle Rifle)

Nitewalker that thing is sick! I love it so much I just might go out and buy a BBB! It looks almost exactly the same as the Battle Rifle from Halo 2. (which just so happens to be my favorite weapon from that game)
Keep up the good work!

Edit: Is the barrel straight when the "clip" is up? I was just wondering if it look crooked because the "clip" isn't up.

I think Big Bad Battle Rifle sounds better, but that's only my opinion. Also what is that pipe that meets with your gun's barrel there, Nite Walker? Is that the clip? It's also on your NF too.

That's some awsome work there!

NEXT TIME, make an individual topic thread for this. We've gone one page of your BBB, and half of that is comments and praises.

This thread is for modification pictures. Carry on with more pictures, or clamp it.

Nice cosmetic and multi-shot mod you've got there. Now try taking that into a real Nerf skirmish. Hopefully all the add-ons won't fall off in the heat of a good battle. Ask anyone who's made extensive mods to their blasters. It works well when you're showing it off on a video or casually shootin', but when it comes down to it, nothing beats a good, solid, basic modified X-bow/ BBB/ SM1500/ SM5000/ Max Shot/ LBB, with minimal things to break or fail during gameplay.

Well, I'm convinced. Most of our users must play a whole lot of video games, because I have no clue what a HALO Battle Rifle is. But if it floats yer boat, then good on ya!

Good call piney. I never really liked those tube clips anyway. It's a great concept, but if the guy who invented them (Carrtoon) has problems using them in wars, it's definitely not worth it to me.

In the spirit of Piney's post (and since it'll be next to forever before I get around to painting it, so why bother waiting) I give you Andy.

Click on the picture for details. The duct tape is covering up a gap due to some slight over-dremeling. It's not holding the gun on in any way shape or form. I'll eventually epoxy some sheet metal over the gap or something.

This is my first mod. I dont think i did that bad. A nitefinder ex-3 with the standard internal work done. I put a "Colorific" barrel in rather than a Crayola because thats all i had. Unfortunatly the tube is smaller so i had to sand it down quite a bit on the inside. The dart still is pretty tight in the barrel, but i get about 45 to 50ft. with it banded. The part i like about my mod, is that in the "extra dart holder", i stuck an old mini Maglite (which fit almost perfectly) and a decent lazer pointer (i had to widen the hole for that one) to replace the crappy 15ft standard one that i ripped out. Please tell my what ya'll think.

unfortunatly my pictures did'nt upload. sorry guys.
