Current-generation Nite Finder that I picked up at about noon today. Three and a half hours later, the glue is curing and I thought I'd put up pictures.

I painted the yellow parts of the external shell fluorescent orange, improved the structural integrity a bit, put in a K26 spring (i.e. +bow), extended draw, and put in a coupler system with minimal dead space. The RSCB pictured is actually too short to fit over the top of the gun; I worked off a theory that any possible space where air in the gun can flow should have both maximum cross sectional area over the minimal path distance. It's about half the height of a normal RSCB.

More pictures!

Just a sneak peek at a 'lil something I made for my best friend to bring to the New York Anime Festival at the Jacob Javits Center this Sept 26.

A special thanks to Echnalaid for reminding me about it, I hope to see you there that day (I'll be going as Monkey D. Luffy, and if my friend Jeff gets his shirt made in time, then he'll go as an ODST soldier /w the MA5C Assault Rifle of course ^_^)

My Halloween themed Lanard Hand Cannon, I dub it the "doom stick", get it? boom stick?

Anyways:

What's that switch for?

Pictured with a 3 shot inline clip. I'm working on a brass breeching system for it. I simply improved the plunger seal, couplered the gun, and rebarreled it. The range is surprisingly good for no spring additions. I'd estimate 50 feet with the inline clip.
I attached the skull to cover up the enormous gap left in the front of the blaster, then came the LEDs and the PJ.
I left the huge splotch of orange especially for the Nerf Morality Team, so... no lectures please.

Both have ACE #49 springs and CPVC couplers, and +10 embarrassment modifiers to any kill.

I'll probably use the Leopard one during our war tomorrow here in Pittsburgh, just to be "that guy".

I call it the Superstorm, basically a Stormfire blaster with full draw (like 1-1.5"~ draw). Ranges soon. It'll be getting a paintjob to clean up the nasty spots.

WOOT~!!

I finally finished my best friend, Jeff's, HALO Assault Rifle. So... sorry Echnalaid... I guess you won't get to see the one I posted previously in person... instead you'll be seeing my friend's brand new MA5C~!!

It has a slightly different look then the other 1; it comes with a new front grip handle and a built-in laser.

I was inspired by Wes### a few pages back to take this to the extreme of minimization.
Posted Image

All excess removed and ½ cpvc couplers epoxied directly to the plunger tube ends.
Posted Image

A VERY effective side-arm: fits pretty good into a pocket, easy to re-load, two-shots are never bad. Consistently in the mid range (45-60 ft).
Posted Image

And a neat marshmallow PJ, the result of WAY to much ‘reflective’ spray paint.

The Difference:
-Guns shoot bullets that kill people
-Blasters shoot darts that tag people

Improving the seal on the Raider. A brass ring in the bolt that connects to a brass barrel nested in the faux barrel. Still trying to get the right length for the barrel. But so far, the seal is great and it gets decent ranges for a raider.

This is the Ls Im building for CHOP

Posted Image

going to need a bunch of reinforcing and I plan to use a decent plunger head and standard sealing mods for Ls as opposed to my stock plunger in my other RSCB guns.

It's been quite quiet lately, so here's my contribution. More to come, but didn't want to flood.

Posted Image

It's a SwitchShot with the standard mods: AR removal, re-sprung, plunger rod / head reinforcement, added catch spring, and 2" of 17/32" shoved down the bore. There's enough room for 9/16" as well, hence the extend-a-barrel.

Posted Image

The barrel is removable, otherwise the blaster can't be separated from the lower receiver. It actually serves a purpose. The spring is 20# or so, enough to disengage the front catch when fired. The barrel helps keep the blaster from falling off when this happens.

Plunger rod reinforcing putty is painted Traffic Orange. When the NF is primed, the plunger rod looks 'stock', at least from enough distance to not catch the change in texture from putty to plastic. One of the goas is, aside from the extend-a-barrel, to keep the blaster looking as 'stock' as possible.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

NiteFinder with the standard mods: AR removal, re-sprung, plunger rod / handle / head reinforcement, added catch spring, and 2" of 17/32" shoved down the bore. There's enough room for 9/16" as well, hence the extend-a-barrel. Same as the SwitchShot, in other words. Only new addition are half-inch long rings of OMC/PETG over the lens adjustment arms.

Posted Image

The extend-a-barrel doesn't work for many Streamlines - they have some spilled over glue where the head meets the body. It works for stefans very nicely. It's made from the LongShot's extend-a-barrel. The end is filed down to mate with the NF's muzzle cleanly. Because of the PETG rings, it can't be mistaken for stock, unlike the SwitchShot.

The putty along the plunger rod and filling in the pull-handle is painted Traffic Orange, so it looks passably 'normal'. No paintjob planned - this is an office toy, nothing more.

A LnL modded by Merz for MSDFS, and now is in my hands.

Tweaked the barrel a bit, made a better plunger seal. The seal's really great, the stock spring can't push the plunger to hit the end of the plunger tube without the bungee. It needs a new spring.
