BigFoot: Does the paint make the slide difficult to pull back (because the portion of the gun that it slides on is thicker), or is there not really any noticeable difference? Also, what grit sandpaper (or what Dremel bit) did you use to get such a smooth look?

Does it matter if he's not shooting anyone?

Haha yeah the darts me and a friend made one night just for the hell of it, we aren't and don't plan on shooting anybody with it, but if somebody breaks into the house then im gonna see what those darts can do lol!! JK
The first paint job i did with the pistol i didn't put much paint on, I was using some dupli-color black paint but it was near empty so it wouldn't spray out very good, and we only put on one coat. Yeah well me and my friend spent like an hour sanding the pistol down, we used 220 grit, 320 grit and 400 grit sandpaper (not sure what order, i just used whatever sandpaper i could find really). We got tired after awhile then we decided to flip a bike upside down and tape some sand paper around the tire and one of us would pedal with our hands (since it was upside down) and shift up and the other one would hold the part we wanted sanded to the spinning tire with the sandpaper on it, notice on the right side of the gun the part where i sanded the line off there is a little imperfection, well the spinning sandpaper bike tire sanded it to the point where it broke through, yeah a hillbilly style sanding did that lol. After we had sanded enough we decided to do the rest that was left with just the sand paper and our hands. We also wet sanded it and then used a fine grade steel wool on it. Then we painted it. (And of course before all of this we disassembled the gun)
well I am having trouble getting this pistol to have a decent paint job. I just bought some Krylon gloss black paint and began repainting the gun, I gave it about 2-3 coats with at most 24 hours drying time in between. Once I assembled it though the trigger was stuck once it was pulled in and the slide would be ruff too, so I disassembled it again and began sanding the paint off spots of the trigger and slide and then tried to assembly it again, only before we did we tinkered with other things trying to see if we could somehow get more power out of it but it would not fit so we would have to take it apart again, etc etc. Basically the new paint job isn't that good either. I'll post pictures of it repainted soon when i can get ahold of my camera.

It is an Ertl outdoor sportsman pump shotgun. It used to be Black and brown, originally shot a single ball, and was introduced by FA_24 who got Around 140' flat.Hey bags, did you buy that thing off ebay? I like to think I am observant so I believe it used to be black/brown, shoot suction darts with a six barrel turret? Tell me if I'm right and please tell me some details on how it is.

Just finished this about an hour ago. Figured I would try my hand at a longshot with front gun integration, but seeing as I love cosmetic appearance just as much, I used bondo and scuplting tools to get rid of the cracks between the two guns. Its for sale in my trading thread, enjoy!
that thing is beautiful
nice sculpting
It looks flawless.

Galorn, I love those paintjobs (I've always been a sucker for the military styles). They look very clean, almost as if they came that way.

heh no not for sale. But they were fairly easy to paint with the Krylon sprays.
You can buy the Krylon Sprays at Walmart, and also at Autozone (although they're more expensive at autozone.)
Just disassemble then paint for flat black, use masking tape to cover the black then spray green.(thats what I did on my LS)

I think he collapsed the LS for the pic and thats it. When he uses it he probably keeps it open. How can people stand the collapsed LS stock? It is too small for me, and I am really small.
I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

I don't even have the problem of the stock collapsing when I use it. The gun cocks quite easily.

It's for a buy it now actually, and a fair one too. Being honest I only will make about 15 dollars if it sells, and not a cent off shipping. It was spray painted, primed, glossed, and soon to be modded for 70 flat.
