That was probably intended as a joke, but if you really wanted to, you could put a regulator between the tank and the PC to set the pressure for various ranges.

I was thinking of making a gun very similar to this, only bull-pup, bolt action magazine, attach the back of the plunger to the bolt with cable and a system of two pulleys so the bolt doubles as the trigger.
I'm still wondering about what kind of magazine to use. No Shells is a must. A single file end to end PVC pipe would be really simple and solid. However, you could get like six times more ammo/length using a double file side to side system.
