Crank'
And 'grats on top 2000
EDIT: What's with the 100ghz Cluster? Now, if we could get condor running, we could do much more important things than FAH, like encode movies really fast. </sarcasm>
Edit 2: I just checked my machines, 2 of them were running as Anonymous, now all 4 are under my name Watch out everyone, Crankymonky's score is about to go up fast!

Top 2000 teams, sorted by number of teams they have overtaken in the last 24 hours.
Team NH production at 3 hour intervals.
And of course the team rankings.
Welcome to WEASEL, the newest team member!
Congrats to Baelnorn for holding on to second, The_Trouble for passing Ompa, crankymonky for moving up 5 places into the 8th spot, Black Wrath for moving up 5 places into 17th, and Piney for overtaking earl_the_bunny and Darkshrimp and moving into 11th!
We are now in 1778th place and still climbing quite rapidly. I fully expect us to be in the top 1000 by the end of August and the top 800 by late September. We are currently producing at a level that should keep us climbing into the top 200. With an approximate doubling of output, we could eventually make the top 100.
Keep adding those CPUs!

If you just downloaded it, it will be a while before you see any results. If you set it up with the appropriate team number (#45293) and set it to run as a service, just restart your computer and forget about it. it will take anywhere from half a day to a week on average to finish a work unit, provided your computer is on all the time. Potentially much longer if your computer is only on a few hours per day. Happy folding!I just downloaded it but mine is stuck saying, completed 0 out of 500000 steps. Any help would be cool.

I'd like to thank cx for getting us so involved in this, and helping us push our team's stats so far up. His efforts have equaled the point totals of our 2nd through 7th place contributors. Though just because he is so far ahead, doesn't mean we can't increase our efforts. We're in this together.

This whole thing is just so awesome, what a great idea, Cx.
I have my eye on 15th place in about 5 hours.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

More stats?
We are currently 137th place in points turned in this week and 108th place in points turned in today. We have passed 108 teams in 24 hours and are the day's #1 mover.

For those of you with hyperthreaded or dual core processors, make sure you're running two copies of the console client (from different directories and with different machine ID's specified in the advanced options) so that you're using both cores/logical processors!

You rock, Spoon. I've been meaning to mention this for awhile - my primary box at work is a hyperthreaded 2.8 too.Just added my hyperthreaded P4 2.8 to the team.

If you do the above, make sure you configure the console by launching it with the line:
FAH502-Console -configonly -local
This will cause it to store settings in a local cfg file rather than the registry. Then edit the service entries with regedit to have the -local parameter too.

I'm running a dual core P4 3.0 Ghz.
Are you saying I'm only using HALF of it's potential?!

If it's in hyperthreaded mode (set in the bios) then you should see the FAH process taking up 49% or so of your CPU. If you're running non-hyperthreaded, you're using about 80% of your computer's potential. Either way, you can benefit from doing what Spoon described. I've seen about a 20-30% increase in performance by running two FAH threads on my hyperthreaded machine vs running one process in non-hyperthreaded mode. Are you saying I'm only using HALF of it's potential?!

All I did was c/p the console into a new folder (F@H2) and then ran it. I configured everything as default, but went into advanced options and waited until it came to "Machine ID" and then entered in a "2".
It's now downloaded a WU, and I'm running 2 consoles at once!
I'm damn excited now!

Yeah that's all you need to do. If you look in your services (in Administrative Tools) you'll see two Folding services, one from each directory, running. If you're running hyperthreaded mode and your Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) shows 100% CPU usage then you're good to go.Cx, ignore my PM, I figured it out.

I'm still getting minor conflicts, is there anything worth changing there? I'm going to run it from now on no matter what, so my work unit will be done soon. I'm on a P4 3GHz as I said before, but I'm pretty sure its HT'd. I can't get anyone else into it, because they all run SETI

My PC is an old p-o-s (1.7 Ghz, Pentium 4, dial-up). Not to mention the various problems it has aquired over the past 4 years...My point is that it's still functional for gaming, which is nice. At least I'm willing to give this a shot and help in any way I can. If I get it running, we've got a vintage PC to help out.
So, with that in mind, if you can answer my preguntas, that would be fab. Thanks!

So, does this automatically upload to the F@H stats, or is there something I need to do? And can I exit at any given time? Once again, I'm a n00b at something.

Unfortunately, I have been stuck with a larger WU, and I have a slow PC. I look to finally be on the team "officially" in a week. Currently 15000/250000...

Sadly, that's one of the smaller WUs availible. Be glad that's your first one.Unfortunately, I have been stuck with a larger WU, and I have a slow PC. I look to finally be on the team "officially" in a week. Currently 15000/250000...
My first one was a 1 million step, and I'm currently working on a 500 000 step, and a 1 000 000 step.
