The weather is getting into the 80's here in SoCal so summer is probably right around the corner. I think it's high time we started hashing out participants and dates for Armageddon 2005.

If you haven't been to Armageddon, you've been living a sad, pathetic sham of a life. Armageddon is the war to be seen at. Armageddon removes blemishes overnight. Armageddon is better than sex. Armageddon will pwn your sorry asses.

Where: Irvine, California. Specifically, here. I <3 Google Maps.

Edit: Location currently under discussion. Input welcome.

What: The War To End All Wars. Duh. Bring your game.

Who: You, if you're cool enough. Armageddon will be a who's-who of the Nerf community.

When: Saturday 23rd July, 2005.

Point of note- should be a larger turnout then normal from us, considering everyone can drive now, and have cars. No excuses this time.

I am working for my uncle in SoCal between May and June, so I have to see where exactly and what exact dates, I might be able to come, but I will have to see.

Ack, I am shooting my thesis film in early July, the ONLY date of those that I could make would be July 16th, which would be awesome. Or anything after that. Sorry.

But seriously, do we still want to do it at Venado? We've gotten kicked out of the urban area the last 4 times in a row. The trees and CTF were ok, but it's kind of stale.

Oh man... I can get my learner's permit in August. I might actually be able to DRIVE to this one!

Anytime in late August is fine for me. Although I don't know if I could come in July, I might be able to convince the parental units. And some other people to come.

Odds are looking favorable that I could be in attendance for Armageddon this year! More details need to be ironed out with my parental units, but things are looking good at the moment.

If the date could be decided in the next few weeks, my wallet would appreciate it. Airline tickets are low for a weekend jaunt in SoCal at the moment, but they won't be as time rolls onward.

My only question is, who thinks they would be nice enough to put up a Haven admin for a long weekend? A place to stay that is realtively cheap is pretty much a necessity for my chances of attending to remain high. This is mostly because I'd rather not pay out the butt hole for a hotel every night.

Shinny, don't worry about lodging. There is a high degree of certainty that I could put a roof over your head. In the slim chance that doesn't happen, I will ensure that someone else will. The only thing that might prevent you from staying here is an as-yet-unscheduled home expansion to occur some time in the next year or so.

I'll also provide airport shuttle services, provided I don't have to pick up 3 or 4 of you guys from LAX at wildly different times. If you guys plan your arrivals together I'll get you all at once. If you manage to get cheap tix flying into ONT, even better - it's a MUCH easier airport to get in and out of.

It seems that my dates my be changing (again). I just got an email about a better job (it's an internship) and would run for 10 weeks. The end of which would put me in the end of July. I'll have a better idea of what kind of dates work for me in the next week. Something after the 23rd looks good at the moment. Anything before will depeng on how kind my future employer will be.

If I have money to take an airplane, I will try to make it. It is totally up in the air if I could make it or not, but I figured I'd put my name out there so it's floating around. As with Shindig, I would also need a place to stay and a ride. There's no telling at the moment what I'm going to do yet; any decision would depend on a date; whatever you guys decide is fine by me.
