That's a pretty common question isn't it? What is better than a Nite Finder, but still has the same compact package? Some would say: "my Nite Finder + AT2000" or "my NF SPBB" integration", which are stinkin' awesome modifications. (kudos to those modifyers)

I thought it would be cool to quite literally double its power:
Posted Image

Before you say: "it's not an integration, it's just 2 NF taped together": it's not. They are sawed down to the right size, and are glued firmly together.
Before you say: "It's fugly with the tape": it is, but I'm not finished. I'm waiting to see if I'm going to add anything else to it, or change the shape at all. When I'm done it will be all wrapped up in sexy black sticktape.

How I hold it:

-UPDATE-
Added the black sticktape.

That is really cool. How long did it take to do that.

To be honest though I would have hot-glued the extra ammo holder on top.

Looks nice but I would have cut the handle off one and mounted it on top of the other and used the same trigger. Also it looks kind of flimsy.

I love the integration, it will look great after you paint it. I agree with navy seal though, it looks flimsy. I have an idea that would help make the gun more sturdy.
First, get all that masking tape off and use something sturdier, like gaffer tape, duct tape, electrical tape or another kind of sturdy tape.

After seeing that I may have to take a trip to TRU.

Does the dart arch when you fire it from the lower barrel?

Mayhem, that's awesome! Because I have small hands, I would shoot the bottom NF with my pinky, then it would be almost like the rock on sign . I think it would be really cool if you put a piece of string or something connecting the two plunger handles, so you could cock them simultaneously. Now that would be sweet!. And I think it actually looks pretty good for being unpainted - the barrels match the tape!

I like. The badass level would triple if you integrated an at2k. Especially with a turret. Damn. I might have to alter my current integration just for that.
Either way, much smoother than I would have expected, good job.

Awesome. Here's my opinions, though. I think you should put a vertical bar that connects both cocking handles. That way, you could prime both guns simutaneously. Oh, and I would also try cleaning it up just a little bit. Then it might look like this:

Either way, awesome job.

That is pretty cool. Very clever too! I agree with Grinch, though. A handle that attaches the two cocking mechanisms would be great. Now you just need to attach 4 SSPBs. On each one.

I would have sawed down the 2nd NF so instead of pulling the trigger, you push the catch mech. Then i would glue the 2nd NF on top. I personally don't like the idea of using one's pinky finger for pulling the trigger but its still cool.

Then it might look like this:

*Snip*

That looks VERY uncomfortable. Grinch, the reason I said string instead of something that's non-flexible (like what you suggested, a bar) is that with string, you can prime both of the NF's at the same time, but you aren't forced to shoot them both at the same time. And if it wasn't flexible, it would be VERY hard to pull the triggers at the exact same time, and you might damage the plunger.

-It only took an afternoon (about 1.5 hours) So, not too long, just saw and glue. (They were already modified before I merged them...) I'm not sure about ammo holders, I don't use them often. The way it is now, it's got 2 darts ready and 2 darts in the ammoholder. By the way, I'll probably be making some kind of holster, I put ammoholders on my holsters.

-It's actually not flimsy at all, the masking tape was on it at first just to keep it in place while the glue dried. It shouldn't look as flimsy now with the ticktape. I doubt I'll paint it.

-Yes, I very slightly pointed the bottem barrel up so it arches slightly.

-I thought about a way to cock them simultaneously, but honoustly, it's not necessary. AND string wouldn't look good, and like you said: something solid would probably mess things up.

-About an extra AT2000: Yeah I wish, that would be sweet, but I only have one AT2000... my ATP90. I also tried using SSPB's before, I messed those up.

-I thought about putting it on top, but I worried about the amount of work that would be needed. Plus if I failed it could get seriouslyt messed up AND It would be hard to get them to shoot seperatly. (O, and I didn't think it would look so good.)

That is the most awsome and original nf mod ever i wish i had your modding skills.
also to make a nice holster what you do is take a large square of cardboardand cut it to the right size and shape and fold it around your "gun" thingy and the cut it down to the perfect fit and tape it up with black E-tape.the cut 2 parallel slits and stick a belt through it and thats an awsome mod!

Nice mod, and the 2IC in my clan, the FDG is really good at making kitbashes (multiple guns togeather, or in one shell) he made one and it was HUGE, he couldnt get it throuh a door! He eventually had to reduce it. Ah, the reason I am postingl. This mod reminds me of the two guns that are like this. One is called justice and is two splitfires togeather, and the other is two AT2Ks togeather, called big brother (I might of mixed up the names). He also has 2 at2ks in a XBOW? shell. They all look awsome and work well. I also have a neat holster for my NF -> Pics

Back of holster-right buckle is the one to the belt, the others are to go around my leg

He also has 2 at2ks in a XBOW? shell.

I am the current owner of Justice and Big Brother. While I didn't invent Justice, my 2IC broke his (he left it in his truck during the summer and the glue melted) and we remade my 2 SF's into a new one. Big Brother is my beautiful dual AT2K in an X-bow shell modd (note the lack of duct tape). The trigger actually works for the upper shot, and the lower shot is triggered by the metal loop in the back. The one problem I have with the design (and the reason it doesn't currently work) is that the pump shaft keep breaking at that annoying part where it is held together by a metal rod. So it has no working pumps because every time I let someone use it, it breaks the same way and now I have no pumps for it.

Here's some pics:

Mayhem, I had viewed this before, but I don't think I ever replied. I think it looks sweet and would kick ass. I did a mod to my NF. It looks like a Tec 9. Great job!

I like the string cocking idea, I used two use two spring pistols with leather lacing connecting the handles so I would point my arms in opposite directions to cock both.
but anyway I think leather lacing would be good. also I'd drill a hole through each trigger and get two bars (one on each side) with one little connecting bar on each end to go through the triggers
just my 2 cents

and oh yeah, very nice mod

I like it. I also think that you could make it even better by just simply putting rubber bands on the plunger.(You might already be doing this or you might not do it because it doesn't go with the look of the gun)

This is better than a Nite Finder:
Omnis Telum II
If you've read the "Show me what you're working with" thread, you'll know about this already. This is slightly updated, and I plan to put another at2k on. After that I think I'll stop, though, because I'm starting to run out of trigger fingers.

http://img181.echo.c...miiright6lm.jpg
It used to have a sspb in the handle, but it was sucking (as in 15 pumps for a range of 0-5 feet) so I took it out and stuffed the space with fbr.

But you might have gone over the top slightly

Um . . . is there a problem with that?
Yeah, I don't have anybody to have a war with here, so I content myself by attacking the guns viciously. Currently, it's a lot more comfortable than it looks (although that isn't hard). I looked at it, and it does look like I could get another one on there down by the bottom, and then glue the pump on the bottom and the pump handles together so that you can pump both at once, and them mabye glue the bottom barrels together. And then I MIGHT do another dual on the outside of the top . . . . or mabye I won't. I love taking things apart and fiddling with them- I used to take broken TV's from the trash piles and take them apart . . . those were the days. I still have the magnetron from the microwave . . . Oops reminscing. You're right, it is quite ugly.
