I saw the Artemis Arms Mountain Rifle mod and I have some questions as to how the bolt mechanism works. The topic is quite old. Should I:
a) Necro the topic.
b) Start a new, partially redundant one.
c) PM the creator.

Normally, I'd just PM, but it's not really a personal thing; I think that it has enough potential interest to enough people to merit a topic, though those options have problems.

And yes, I am aware that it is slightly ironic to ask about avoiding a gravedig in a topic that's been inactive for a year, but I'm hoping that stickies are a bit different. ^_^;

Don't post in months-old topics unless you have something significant to add.

If it's going to add something to the thread/ask a good question, go for it! -_-

 Start a new, partially redundant one.
c) PM the creator.

If you ask me, I think...
1.) Only post in a dead topic if it's a sticky, and even then use discression.
2.) Unless it actually has something to do with someone personally, don't PM.

I may be wrong, but that's the way I see it.

*EDIT* Does anyone have any idea why Thom's 'B' option became a smiley in the quote? Because I didn't change it.

He had a valid question, cut him some slack. From what I've heard, you can revive a stickied thread no problem, as long as it is something valid.

I would consider sending a PM to the person who made the gun, or someone who had a good understanding of the concept. Try to avoid another thread, as it will help fill up the forum.

Not you, whoever it was you quoted. I'm just saying, it's probably better to ask questions here if a search turns up no results as this thread is meant to help people. So bpso86, no I was not referring to you to cut him some slack.

Prometheus, I was cutting not not cutting him slack. I was just saying that if it were me, I think I would simply start a new post rather than necroing a thread.

If it came off as anything else, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it to sound controlling.

You revived a thread to say "I agree"? Come on, please. TIS made an excellent post on the same page as your post. I'd consider reading his post and following the directions. But it's your choice really.

I hope you understand me enough to realize that reading and following the Code of Conduct is a good idea.

Good Idea Shinny.

I'm really tempted to make your first post your last. How about, instead, I tell you to read the Mother FUCKING Code of Conduct! You are required to follow it. This topic is over 4 years old, and the last post was more than a year ago. You added nothing. Further violations of the COC will result in account suspension.

Very helpful.

Not helpful enough since you felt the need to necro-post in it.
Goodbye for a month.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
