Hey guys,

So I've been trying to find a comparison between the various flywheels but haven't found anything like that yet, so I was wondering if you could help me?

Could you tell me the different characteristics of the various flywheels, and which you recommend? Please no flamewars, they're all for Jolt reskins anyway ;)

So in terms of performance, the pretty-much-indisputed "best" is the Riot wheels. There is a aluminum Riot cage, sold by Hooligan Blaster Co, and the updated OpenFlywheel Project cages (free to download or avaliable through various sellers) that are compatible with these wheels. They're smooth, highly concave for more dart exposure, and tight around the motor shafts. However, I believe that they do not fit any other cages.

There's a pretty decent document here on the dimensions and results gained by different wheels (Does not include Riot) and the same motor in a stock cage. https://docs.google....se3g/edit#gid=0

From my perspective, the best single-stage stock geometry cage would be the Hooligan Fly Ass wheels or the ContainmentCrew Cyclone. I believe that the Hooligan wheels are a tad bit cheaper. Worker wheels get a similar performance boost like the former two, but drastically increases the wear on the dart, shortening its life.

Artifact plastic smooth wheels are also pretty good – though seem to be pretty much the same as Hooligan. Artifact metal wheels and Blasterparts blue plastic wheels are trash (Artifact is too heavy and don't interface well with darts and blasterparts wheels are too small in diameter), just don't use them.

There are two videos on youtube comparing most of the wheels on the market. Both videos are from the same guy. Ones called something like "testing all the flywheels" and the other is "testing all the flywheels again" or something.

I went with Worker plastic wheels because they are the lightest flywheels as far as I know, plus I like the grippiness of them since I don't care to preserve the life of darts.

Vilensky's review is outdated, I think he used Fangs in his tests (still got great numbers). Nowadays the hottest motor would be Cronus-X or NeoHellcat.
