So I have a retaliator I'm looking to mod. I know I want it to be pump action but I don't know which way to go about doing it.

I don't have a recon/retaliator on hand (other then the one I'm already using) and I don't really want to go out and buy one so a VGR is pretty much out.

I don't really want to buy the worker kit because of the prices of shipping.

So it is pretty much either between gavin fuzzy's kit or make my own unless there's is some other kit I'm not aware of.

You can grab worker kits for a higher price off of ebay, but the shipping is free it seems. Gavinfuzzy will probably be similarly priced after shipping. Otherwise you kinda answered your own question.

I just like helping, so I did the research, I found the best price-quality ratio,

If you find any better ones yay, but I found this one.

Making your own isn't difficult or expensive. Coat hangers, tape, an a no cutter is really all you need.

I will most likely end up making my own partly using this write up: http://nerfhaven.com...te-up-included/
But if I do it may still be awhile till I can since the tools I would need I only have access to sometimes.

So, this thread:http://nerfhaven.com/forums/topic/27208-pump-action-reaper-writeup/

is for a different blaster, but you can do this mod even better with the retaliator, because the 1 1/4 inch pipe fits like a barrel extension on the retaliator muzzle.

So you stick about four inches of that on the muzzle,

then wrap some tape around the end of a one foot (approximately) long piece of one inch pvc, and shove it in the 1 1/4 inch piece on the muzzle.

Then, you put on the pump handle, and connect to the slide with a scrap bit of junk lying on the shop floor.

And then you have a ugly, but really practical pump.  Am I making sense?  If not, ask whatever questions you like.  Related to the pump, of course.

I love my stuff on this thread,
in fact let me plug in another thing I did for the retaliator here

http://nerfhaven.com...ide-vgr/?hl=vgr

I think I like the aesthetics, and I spent like, 10$ total on it? with like 2 hours?

As i said at the beginning of this post, i don't really want to go out and buy another recon/retaliator and the chances of finding one while thrifting is pretty slim. the best thing I've found is a buzz bee double shot.

Oh i can find one. http://www.ebay.com/...B8AAOSwnbZYDnpM (also i would rather find one while thrifting then order one online)

i just can't decide which way i want to go.

i am leaning towards making my own as i said on a earlier post using polycarb or metal bars that are connected to the bolt sled and the retaliator grip.

5$ max for a recon lol

Yay for VGR type mounts!

You can try getting the retaliator barrel and cutting the 2 tac rail nubs located on the bottom rail then unscrewing the slide and cutting 2 peices of flat steel bar or polycarb sheet to the correct length. Then bolt the 2 priming bar pieces to both the retaliator vertical grip and the priming slide. Next slide the grip onto the barrel attachment and screw the priming slide in place. I realise that it is not very clear, but there will be a tutorial put up by the one and only penguin (me) soon that will go into great detail on retaliator mods including this one.
