If anyone owns a Mattel Ultimator (or, I suppose an XXL Bazooka) Please bring it to the war. Mine is currently malfunctioning and I don't think I'll have it ready in time. If you do, you'll be able to play Ultimate Core Penetration, the ultimatist penetratintingist game around.

I may also bring some small consideration as a thank you, I suppose.

I understand that the Ultimator is an important part of the game, but could it possibly be played with Drac's rockets and a couple of 4Bs instead? I imagine they are pretty close, but the 4B takes less time to prime.

Although the use of 4Bs would work, the extended time that it takes to prime the ultimator and the obnoxious noise that it makes all add to the fun of the game type. Also with the cores being a hard plastic bucket, like the ones sold at Lowes or Home Depot, adds to the required skill of getting a missile to stay inside the bucket. All of these factors make up Ultimate Core Pennatration. Finally for this game type to work, everyone will need a decent sidearm, like a hammershot not a panther. I will have a few backup sidearms with me if this happens this year.

This round is definitely on an experimental "if people want to try what craziness Pittsburgh is doing" status, so we can probably run it with quadBs, the springer nature adds to the fun though, for sure.

We'll see what goes on the day of. Could be nobody out east is even cool enough to try it.

Yeah, definitely. I didn't have a chance to make bandannas for this year, but I will be using orange and blue flagging tape and bandannas are encouraged as a re-usable alternative to tape.

Ultimators definitely make the game-type more enjoyable. Missile fails and the Ultimator's unreliability are some of the best parts about the game. We have always gone to a third round tie-breaker, which is an Ultimator duel. There is nothing cooler than an Ultimator duel, and I know all of you want to be the coolest kids in school.

4Bs will work but Ultimators are vastly preferred. I'm working on packing at least two cores for double penetration. If we have space in our car I'll pack a third core for triple penetration (missiles/launching mechanisms permitting.)

We will be playing some pistol rounds. JLego will be the final arbiter of what is a pistol, but a few guidelines include:
We will be using single-shot springer pistols
Don't be a dick
No airguns are pistols, including the panther
Anything with an after-market plunger tube is not a pistol
Anything that fires more than one dart without having to reload is not a pistol
Anything with a stock is obviously not a pistol
A pistol splat is not a pistol
Draw-extended pistols with beefed up springs will be allowed at the discretion of the round enforcer.

Nope. But Whitemoonlight and I may be able to swing being on team OMC. At least once or twice (or all day), for ol' time's sake. It will be legendary.

The weather in this state is so damn infuriating. Yesterday it was going to be cloudy but hot, now it's calling for showers... I wish mother nature would make up her damn mind... Fuck it... I got a Tent and i'm bringing a change of socks and sneakers...

Since I've moved to Northeast CT since last year and I'm still driving a ford focus, it would be a great help to me if anyone could bring the following items for the use of the event hosts:

A pop-up canopy
A folding table
4-6 buckets
ball-pit balls, PVC sticks with colored tape, or some other carpe appropriate token
A chronograph
A 200'+ measuring tape
Some kind of cart or radio flyer to help transport this stuff to the staging area

Please confirm if you will be able to bring any of these items. If you are bringing a SPARE canopy that would be especially helpful, as we would like to not feel bad about completely taking it over if it gets nasty out.

Also, since I've been hearing about the weather a lot, APOC HAPPENS RAIN OR SHINE. You can ask the people who were around last year, and they'll tell you how fucking awesome it was in spite of the downpour we had for the first 1/3 of the day. The Governor would have to declare a state of emergency and close of the GSP to kill this war. Lightning will only briefly suspend us for a round or two. This shit is happening. Count on it.

I'll have mine tent/canopy with me... I've since lost my pickup truck and my new Cherokee doesn't have the same cargo space, so... I can try to grab my extra one, but I can't make a promise on that, I have some PVC lying around, met me know what size and I can make some Carpe sticks tonight.

The PVC sticks are ideally long enough to stick out of a 5 gallon bucket by a few inches, with bright colored electrical or duct tape on the ends. I'll have some orange and blue duct tape at the war.

i should be able to make some sticks tonight... I'll PM you with what I was able to make. Me and Bunny are working out the extra tent/canopy, and my friend Arthur (he came last year) might have a handtruck he can get for the day.
