I know this is still far off, but regarding weather, will it be play rain or shine? Also I don't know if you guys are keeping track but I might be bringing a guest.

We will play rain or shine, barring conditions which represent a threat to personal safety (lightning, severe storms). Even then, they would have to be evacuating Ocean Township for me to call the whole war off. I think more than half of the Apocs I've been to have had at least a brief shower, so between that and the typically high heat and humidity, you're probably better off just bringing an extra shirt or change of clothes than any kind of rain gear.

I am 100% down for this war. I will be bringing an unknown (but probably large) number of friends with me. Depends on how many of my friends i can pressure into modding their blasters further than taking out air restrictors.

New Guys: Read This!

Note to residents of NJ or anyone else within a 2 hour drive of North Brunswick: If you are new to wars hosted on NerfHaven, or just new to Apoc, I strongly recommend that you come out to NJW8 or NJW8.5. Apoc is a huge war with a lot going on, and you will get more out of it if you come prepared. Coming out to one of these NJ wars will help you warm up, check your gear and your darts, and get you up to speed about how we run things in NJ in a more relaxed environment. If you live in the area, you have no excuses. Don't make Apoc your first war, come out to NJW.

Also note that if you come out to NJW8.5, I will have a limited supply of apoc-approved dart materials and some wyes for making hoppers. NJW8.5 will be your last chance to get these items without paying exorbitant shipping rates.

So as it turns out, it looks like I'll be in Jersey that weekend for my grandmother's birthday, which means I have a decent chance of making it. As such, there are a couple of questions I'd like to ask. I apologize if anything I ask has an obvious answer.

In the SE, we tend to be really lax in our restrictions and I'm pretty sure our rulesets are different in general. Could someone send me a complete ruleset or a link to one?

There's maybe a 50/50 chance that I can borrow a car to drive over there, but on the off chance that it isn't an option, how likely is it that someone could drive to the nearest train station and get me? I'd be willing to pay for gas of course.

Lastly, what times will it be? I don't need anything super concrete, a rough estimate for start to finish will do.

Most of the answers to your questions will be edited into the first post within the next week or two. If you want to take an early look at rules, see The List of Game Types. We will definitely be playing Team Elimination (Deathmatch). Also take a look at Carpe Testiculum and Gunslinger Heaven.

I will be selling beige slugs at the war. They will be a very slight cpvc push fit. The foam is airgun fit it PETG and springer fit in cpvc. Each slug is 1.5in long, weighed with a #6 zinc plated washer, and toped with a white McMaster felt pad. My darts are top notch premium quality. I have sold over 2,000+. 100 slugs will cost $10.

As the host of NJW, I would suggest everyone new able to go to 8 or 8.5 to do so. The more people we can get up to speed the smoother APOC is going to roll. This especially applies to the younger nerfers (I assume you can't be trusted). The past 7 wars have been very successful, and there are two in the same month, so there really is no excuse not to show up. Work something out with your parents or a ride. Attendance to 8.5 is preferred if you're completely new to wars since you'll get a feel for how Langley will host APOC the following weekend.

Double Post!

Quick note about Sceptors since it seems like a ton of people are modding them like right this instant: I have 2 requirements for Sceptors at Apoc:

1.) Aside from the barrel mod and ergonomic changes to the pump handle, they must be bone stock
2.) Do something to that airtank cosmetically to make it look less like a paintball gun. This must be cosmetic only. Just throw some orange duct tape on there or something.

More info about blaster restrictions will be coming soon, but I can boil it down for you right now: if you want to be the guy at apoc who's gun shoots farther than everyone else's, stay the fuck home.

A few of us are discussing on BookFace about tank relocation (NOT replacement). Where do the rules stand on that? I like to assume that since its not mentioned explicitly that its legal, but the "bone stock" also could ban tank relocation as well.

Bone stock is bone stock. No modifications other than those explicitly allowed. One man's 'tank relocation' is another man's 'tank expansion'. Again, this is mainly because it's Apoc and Sceptors are sort of new at nerf wars this season. There are just too many people for there to be a gray area on this.
