That handle looks atrocious... I didn't really get a whole lot from the instructions other than the obvious break action. However, in step 1, I think it shows that little switch next to the trigger. Is that a lock mechanism, or something to switch barrels?I have found a picture of the barrel break in it's box. It has the instructions on its side, which you can get a good idea of how you load it.

What's so special about them other that they look longer? The heads also look smaller, more in line with the dart.screw the blaster!
Look very closely at those darts.

They seem to be basically streamlines with a whistler head.
The instructions on the gun show that it will be rear loading. This kinda sucks, you can't use normal stock darts. On the other hand you might be able to use stefans without removing the AR's. I'm not sure how the posts on the AR's would be.

2. After paying close attention to the blurb of directions on the side of the gun, you load the darts in the barrel after you "break" it open, hence the name, barrel break.

1. The box says that it comes with whistler darts, which it does, according to the picture.
2. After paying close attention to the blurb of directions on the side of the gun, you load the darts in the barrel after you "break" it open, hence the name, barrel break.
Wow, you're pretty clever! Did you figure all that out on your own! I never would have guessed!
Thing looks cool, but I'm prepared for the inevitable letdown.

Well, with others saying that it is rear loading, i did not understand what the meant, but now I do. I was thinking that the rear loading they were talking about was you load the darts from somewhere in the back of the gun. Now I know that it means in the back of the barrel, compared with a front barrel loading system.

Do a search and you'll see a video.
I'm not posting it here to comply with NH's rules. But since more pictures came out, I think it's ok.
Wait a minute, that is your video. How did you get the gun so early?

The barrels extend before you prime it... that's so awesome. However the little "vents" on the back say reverse plunger. Oh well. I'll still buy it if it's not $30, if only for the cool factor. Who knows, At2K tanks may fit in there, but by then you might as well spend a bit of coin and get a Splitfire.

Am I seeing a regular, non-inverse plunger in the patent's diagrams?

I found this patent filed by Hasbro for a break-barrel blaster. It could be the same technology used in the Barrel Break.
Am I seeing a regular, non-inverse plunger in the patent's diagrams?
I'm fairly certain that's an airsoft gun. And even if its not:
"Filing date: Mar 10, 1988
Issue date: Nov 28, 1989"

Something in my pants just went from 6 o'clock to 12.
I've been waiting for Nerf to bring out a Sawn-off Shotgun style gun for ages!

Also, nerfidda, that same video was already posted almost a month ago, and in fact is only 7 posts above yours.
