I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

Gunther, are you taking donations? I really would like to help out somehow, but it always seems you're on top of the organization bit...

Am curious though, couldn't find this anywhere: Is this a standard Primary+Maverick-only setup, or can we have any combo of Primary/Secondary/Tertiary weapons?

You are welcome to carry as many weapons as you want into battle. You will need a small pistol like a Maverick for one of the games.Am curious though, couldn't find this anywhere: Is this a standard Primary+Maverick-only setup, or can we have any combo of Primary/Secondary/Tertiary weapons?

A Nerf weapon. Any of the Nerf-brand guns currently being sold by major retailers will work just fine. You don't have to modify it, but you should get plenty of ammo. Also, mark your ammo and your weapons with your initials in permanent marker. So, since i'm rather new to social nerfing, what sort of weapons should i bring?
Some people bring another smaller pistol such as a maverick or nightfire in case their main weapon jams in the middle of a battle.
Remember to bring eye protection if you can. It's rare, but Nerf shots can scratch your cornea. Shatter-resistant glasses, safetly glasses, etc.

The ferry trip is 30 minutes and the trip from the ferry dock in Kingston to the park is 75 minutes. I will be taking the 8:40am ferry from Edmonds to Kingston in order to arrive early to check out the site and clean up any debris in the rooms. Getting back, I just drive to Kingston and take the next ferry, whenever that would be. I generally stay at the site until sunset (6pm)Gunther, out of curiosity, what ferry times are you taking. As I understand it we both hail from the Seattle area. We're thinking of either the 8:40 or 9:20 to Kingston, and then the 6:30 or 7:20 for the return trip. Any suggestions?
Our zombie game involves the zombies armed with foam melee weapons (aka funnoodle) If you have a nerf-brand foam melee weapon, you are welcome to bring it and use that instead when you are a zombie.Ok, so main gun, and smaller gun. check. You said something about melee weapons?
Bring you camera. Those pictures and videos are worth much more than cash.Gunther, are you taking donations? I really would like to help out somehow, but it always seems you're on top of the organization bit...

First of all, let me give a HUGE thanks to Gunther, for putting this on. I've NEVER seen such a dedicated host for a war. He brought cover, bandannas, swords, darts, blasters... everything for everybody to be able to enjoy it enjoy it. Major, major props.
-Recons are the best blasters ever made
-Creative game types are AMAZING (man with the golden gun, the Alamo, king of the hill, to name a few)
-zombies was crazy: people got into it; zombies were screaming and banging pool noodles against the walls, which was REALLY loud
-swat team style antidote retrieval when I was human was awesome
-I'm bringing a maglite next time
-all the pitch-black corridors were awesome
-no one was using douchey guns, which was great
-stock ammo wars are the best kind
I had an amazing time, and can't wait to see the hundreds of pictures taken. Also looking forward to the last man standing video during zombies.

You probably don't know who the hell I am, I was at the war in... November? I think it was early November, yeah. I was the guy ~5'8", was wearing under armour/t-shirt and a baseball cap. I'm a little bit in one of the 3 pictures posted in the last topic. Anyway, does anyone know if/when we're gonna do another one of these wars? It'd be cool to know within a couple of months.

FA_24's response to Ice's back pain thread:
I used to have that problem until I got circumcised. 15 pounds later I was able to stand up straight.

Seriously, best Sunday I've had in a long time - everyone was great sports, games were fresh and original (esp. the Zombie one), and I got to use my battleaxe on someone! How often can you say that in normal conversation?
Looking forwards to the next one in October, as I'll probably be missing the April one, and can't wait to see how the pictures came out!

The 2nd would be best because it's not right before finals. But we're not the only attendees, of course, so I understand if this request can't be met.
Thanks!
EDIT: I'm going to go ahead and say that there probably WON'T be any attendance from us if it falls on the 9th. I'm not trying to pressure the date at all; as I said, I understand we are few of many attendees. Just letting you know our preference.
