I guess I am just confused. If this mod is indeed pointless, why would I post anything else comparable to it?

Maybe I am reading into this wrong, or I am reading too much into it, but you're saying that a modification is only important or worthwhile if it makes a sizable difference in a war situation, correct? If that's the case, I have no reason to post things like this, so saying that I won't post them wasn't some sort of threat. I am just saying that I won't post anything unless it is worthwhile to people in a war. Please correct me if that isn't what you're trying to say.

I edited my last post, as I do with a lot of the posts I make in a rush, before I got your response. Still, I guess I was not clear, so let me give you that at least. I, personally, don't know much about mavs and as such can give you no real impression of this mod. My earlier statement was meant to be very general. I was just saying that comments like glint's and slugs should not be discouraged because they can give you insight that you might otherwise not have into how a gun will actually work. When I got slug's 2nd plusbow prototype the overall function was great, but the comfort and trigger pull were prohibitive in practice. That kind of feedback is neccessary. Anyway, my point to you is that while it's natural to argue with some detracters, asking them to not post is contrary to how we develop things here. We need small improvements like the one you've made, but in order to seperate the worthwhile from the superfluous we need critical members. Some are fair, some aren't, but they're all part of the process. So, while we hope people will post their modifications no matter how small or large an improvement they represent, we can't sacrifice critical analysis in the name of content. Your request for the feedback to be constructive and more explicit is valid, but you can't expect everyone to give you their feedback in a format you prefer.

Now, I'm really sorry to drag this 2 party discussion through your thread, but I think it's important. I'll remove it if you ask me to.

I agree with the sentiments that this may not be terribly useful on a maverick. But what if this mod was performed on a Nitemav? The Nitemav is normally loaded with a ramrod; a rear-loading turret would increase overall ROF significantly.

I understand what you're saying, and you'd think that after almost 21 years, I'd figure out that not everyone is going to do things how I'd do them or how I'd like them to be done.

I apologize for letting stuff like Slug's post get to me, and I thank you for calling me out on it. Next time, I'll just roll with it or just make my argument against theirs. Even if we disagree, we can agree to disagree and then move on. I've come a long way on here, and I guess this is the next step.

Please don't delete the comments. I'm sure I'll read them again later.

Anyway, my point stands that this mod is easy enough that if you use a Maverick at all, this is useful, even if it's just for the fun of it being more like a real revolver.

plus, I LOVE THE MOD!!!!!! It's a mix of cosmetics and modding. plus if your mav is undergun for a longshot, you can keep a finger on a trigger while reloading

How about removing the rounded shroud that blocks the rear of the turret in the first place. That way you don't even need to pull the turret out to reload. Just shove a dart in and go.

My thoughts exactly. Well, my brother's, anyway. I think this would be really cool, especially if you were to make a nitemav. Then, you could cut down the housing for the turret, glue the turret in place (To the rotating mech, not the shell), use a bit longer barrels, and load the way boisie specified.

I see a way to make this a shotgun-loader. Simply take out the unlocking mechanism from the turret and make a hole there. Instant shotgun. I'll try it with mine and see.

nice mod, and to the people who dont think pushing the dart down dosent work i dont want to get in an argument about this but i tested it and my maverick got almost 5 ft better than not pushing it down.
