You may recall a write-up written many moons ago by me when I first got validated here. After looking over that write-up, and seeing some of the criticism I got, I decided to make it better.

So..........

At2k Stock V2

A very small list of Supplies:

A crutch

1/2 in. CPVC

one 1/2 in. CPVC Coupler

Hotglue/plumbers goop

hacksaw/band saw/dremel

First, cut a hole in the back of your at2k. Be very careful, because there is some tubing right behind the hole were you are cutting. Like this:
(Picture from old write-up)
Posted Image

Then cut a small peice of CPVC, and stick in the aforementioned hole, and apply Amazing Goop profusely. Make sure the piece is long enough to fit a coupler securely on the back. Like so:

Then, take your coupler and glue it on to the front of the metal pipe protruding from the crutch. Then for aesthetics, I glued a crossbar of CPVC to make it look sweet.

When you've done all of that^^, it should look like this:
Posted Image

The stock should securely fit on the the back of the at2k, and It also shouldn't be that hard to get off.
Finished product:

With all the comfiness of the crutch stock, and the versatility of the PVC removable stock.

Questions? Comments?

Edit: Hotglue is shit.

Why?

The 2k is has a large shell as it is and you just made it bigger. The easy removal seems like it would fall off in a war that has any sort of vigor. Also, the shortness of the stock will make you hunch down to use, which hampers your ease of movement.

In addition, either you are using the wrong barrel materiel entirely or you have very thin foam to make a good fit in cpvc.

Just my honest opinion.

I figured you could at least have put the stock on straight.

Nice work. I remember seeing this a few weeks back. I don't remember how sturdy it was. How well does the stock hold up with just a single connection? If it's weak, maybe you should have a threaded end on the gun with a threaded coupler on the stock.

Just want to say that the shell is just a bit bigger than my hand and is in no way a big shell. And the barrel is PVC with PETG nested inside, look at the end of the barrel not in the coupler.

Why all the negativity? If you don't like AT2Ks with a stock, don't put one on.

Anyway, it looks pretty good to me. The place it attaches looks a bit weak, but it's a good enough idea.

You've never seen me, obviously, because if you did, you would know I'm a short limbed excuse for a sixteen year-old. The stock fits perfectly in my shoulder. If somebody wanted to make this for a longer-armed person, they would make the stock longer.
Also, when the stock isn't cradled on my shoulder, I point it down when I'm running. I've run all over my house with this thing, and I'm pretty sure it will hold up in a war.

I think retiate answered this, but if you look closer, on the end of my barrel, you can see a smidge of PETG sticking out. I nest PETG in all my barrels.

Well....coincidentally, I recently fractured my back at gymnastics, but it doesn't really affect me carrying my guns. Its about to heal up anyway.

The rest of you, thank you for your positive comments.

That crossbar doesn't look particularly sturdy. I can see why you'd want to put a stock on an AirTech 2000, especially if you have it flow-modded and it can hit triple-digit-foot ranges, but if your barrels are that long, I can't understand why you wouldn't just leave it as a pistol.

I also don't think it looks particularly like a Recon. At least the Recon can be modded to take advantage of the stock attachment by adding extra spring length.

What was the point of this? You didn't even link the mod you're bragging about. I, clearly, have no problem with people acting like dicks, but at least be a dick with a purpose. Otherwise you're just Dark Shrimp, and that position is filled.

The crossbar was not for structural integrity. It was for cosmetic purposes only.

Also, I never really considered a Airtech 2000 a pistol anyway, and I've never used it in that way ever.

That recon bit in the description was only referring that on a recon you can take the stock and barrel off, and on this you can too.

Mines cooler, stronger and cheaper.

Whatever dude. I'll do what I want, you do what you want.

What I don't understand is why add a very large and heavy item to your gun that has no real purpose... Mine is hollow and holds 14 rounds.

All is forgiven. Pointing out exactly how you did what some other guy just did, only better and months ago...that is the type of dickery I encourage.

I don't know about everyone else, but I can't aim at all unless there is a stock on my gun. So putting a stock on a gun to me is a very purposeful endeavor.

Also, If you look closely, again, you can see I have ammo holders on the stock as well.
I had five, but two fell off.

People need to back off renegade. If it works for him and not for you, you don't have to start bitching about it. I don't like crossbows because they don't fit my playing style of putting more foam into the air, yet you don't go see me shitting on other people''s x-bows. All that matters is that it works for you.

Renegade, I like the idea of the stock. I put one on my AT3K for similar reasons. However, I did it very similarly to how you did this one (I believe its in the mods and PJ's thread) and I found that one attachment point wasn't strong enough. It bent the back of the gun If I put too much force on it. That's why if you saw it in mods thread, it has CPVC reinforcements. Anyway, the thing broke off after a couple days. If I do it again I'll definitely make two attachment points, and keep the coupler system you also used.

I like your stock. It looks easy to build and certainly functional. Hope it helps take away the pain of me shooting you in July. *cue ominous laugh*

I think it's a good idea, especially if it works for you. And like you, I think shooting a gun with a stock is much more comfortable.

Anyone who was at HbH2 will likely remember my AT2K. I also had a coupler glued in the back, and I had a stock made out of CPVC. Well, it broke off first round. The coupler stocks just aren't sturdy enough for wars. If you wanted it to be sturdy, I would reccomend epoxy puttying the stock into the coupler.

TantumBull and MSDFS: I do plan on reinforcing it with some stronger adhesive later like Epoxy or Amazing Goop before I actually war with it., but as for now it holds up pretty good.

Sputnik: Thanks dude.

Draconis, Neonpistols: Thank you guys, positive comments help a whole huggy bunch.
