Technically, outside the US, the term Yank or Yankee is referring to anyone from the US. Leave it to secessionists to take offense with a generic term that THEY have deemed to use in a derogatory fashion. I am indeed a Yank, though in my town, we prefer the term Salemanders, and no it is not misspelled. It is a play on both the name of our city, and our preference for a wet, cool climate.

As a yankee (both continentally and globally) living in a southern state that borders Texas, I say, don't mind him... Texans have issues, which is why they claim everything is bigger and why they have such a hard time getting along with others

Does anyone think they will actually make the digital camo properly? Or am I gonna have to paint it on?
Also, I wonder if they might do a red and black one, like the new recon (ps - can someone please post a pic of that please!)

The "digi-camo" just looks like they made random squares on the shell have a rougher texture. You can see it in a few pictures people have posted.

And don't worry, nobody besides that guy cares if you say yanks.

Probably somewhat like the vulcan box that has a (not very, but noticable) different paintjob.

Personally I think this gun is going to be pretty good. Anyway, even if is bad then we still can scrap it for parts and the drum mag. I think Nerf is making guns these days look cooler, have better stock ranges, and less modability. This one looks like it has a lot of potential.

Yes, the guns look cooler. Yes, their modification capabilities are low. However, their stock ranges suck. We saw the video. That dart dropped almost immediately.

back to proper speculation:

The prospect of painted camo is a very distinct one, but I wouldn't dare call it probable. If recall correctly the box labels the dartgun as the CS-35 RAIDER, while the barrel marking still carries the CS-6 designation. One or the other is likely to change, simply for consistancy. I've seen companies go with texture alone, and I've also seen some go the with multi-color treatment on thier products wehre it wasn't "neccisary". One would hope for proper 3 color camo, even if its a color scheme that is completely useless as camo.

I do, as a man that has lived on both sides of the Mason-Dixon, find the term "Yank" a bit offensive, for a couple reasons. One is the obvious geographical relevance of it. Another is an often forgotten aspect of theAmerican Civil War, which was the battle over a member state of the union's right to self determination, a right I personally believe should be upheld. Yet another reason is a difference in attitudes, something you could only really experience for yourself. Then again, the whole affair is much like calling a Scotsman a "limey". It's simply inaccurate on such a level as to be comical.

Having done my share of travelling I've returned to Texas by choice.

Isn't that what's happened to all the blue N-Strikes so far? Even the Longshot's getting yellow treatment.

The digital camo'll likely just be the texture, although one must realize that different textures appear differently in the light. They have different reflections of whatever light hits them, so you'd get a glare for your camouflage.

The yellow Longshot looks better than its blue variant, but it still manages to suck.
The Vulcan looks amazingly badass and intimidating, even (So far as a Nerf gun can), but it has the most issues I've ever experienced.
Maverick. That's all I have to say about that one.

And we all saw the video for this badass-looking mother. Those darts were dropping at 15 feet, maximum.

I mean, I'm definitely gonna get it for indoor warfare, but I wouldn't dare take it outside.

I don't think it's just dropping I'm pretty sure that it's bouncing off the wall or whatever the kid was shooting at.

Those are all opinions (which guns look cool) which are not even close to being universal. How a gun looks has absolutely nothing to do with it's performance, one way or the other. Crossbow, titan, nitefinder, and SSII.
