A nice guy on youtube sent this to me, a video from the toy fair. Right after it features the marshmallow guns, it talks about the Raider.

My 2 concerns are;
1. The stroke length
2. The flimsy-looking clip
Unfortunately, i won't be getting one, unless they are released here is Australia.
I'm still hanging out for a mag-strike.

Sorry OMC, I wasn't reprimanding him, just amazed that he sat there for 3 minutes submitting the same post without checking to see if it posted. I was also providing a handy tip for people who don't realise that a server error doesn't generally mean their post wasn't made. It tied in quite nicely with my thread in the Site Feedback section about the number of server errors we're having lately. Almost every post suffers from a server error. Both of you fix your grammar. Cabbage, don't reprimand someone and then use "lol" and an emoticon in the same post. Actually, don't reprimand anyone at all. EVER.
P.S. Emoticons aren't mentioned in the CoC (and you do have icons as part of the forum), but why are acronyms such as "lol" restricted? For me, a long time gamer, they're part of internet vocabulary. My grammar was quite correcct, minus the use of the acronym.
That's what I was thinking, however it looks like the barrel is completely built into the body, with no way to remove it. Even one of the pump rods goes through it.Looks like a latch to me. It would be interesting to see if they've made it a removable clip, like some maverick mods.
So I think it's just for looks.
On the Raider - can anyone tell from that video whether it fires (in slam mode) when the pump is at the front of the gun, or at the back of the gun?
If it's at the front, then I'd guess there was a trigger there.
If it's at the back, then I'd guess there's a latch that is triggered when the pump hits the back (and the gun is loaded).
I think a lot of people are going to buy the Raider just for the 35 dart drum... A recon with a drum will be pretty amusing...

Cheers. Yes, 8 pages, mainly of jibberish, is a bit tough on the eyes to read through, heh...It fires when the handle is forward. I mentioned it about 8 pages ago, and we had a small discussion on it, though I don't expect you to have read all this crap (I mean that lovingly). It's easiest to see in the original video.
Ok, so it fires when it hits the front. So it must have a second trigger there? I'm guessing that secondary trigger is only active is the primary finger trigger is held down.

Also, on the server errors, the most you can do is follow the errors advice and Report the error to the Administrator of the web server (cxwq). The more error reports, the more he will notice that his equipment may just need a slight upgrade to stay ahead of NH's growing population.

"Avoid AIM-style (lol, u, ne, ppl, etc) spelling."NightCabbage, read the third line of the CoC, that way OMC has less blood has to clean.
No, I know that's in there. I'm just wondering why it's in there.
It also doesn't mention anything about smileys (they're not leet speak).
The culture and attitude of this forum are just different, that's all. There are strange rules that don't always make a lot of sense, and no-one has explained why they're in place. I'll get used to it.
Yep, I think it'd definitely be interesting. Good fun for casual wars though.35 90-100ft shots will seem unfair to some people.

You're over-analyzing this. It fires when the pump reaches the front because the breech has to be closed before it shoots. It probably has a temporary catch that releases once the breech is closed. There is no secondary trigger on the fore-grip.

I know... half the fun. The gun has to fire somehow, so a trigger of some sort (not a manual external trigger, an automatic internal trigger) would be required. You're over-analyzing this. It fires when the pump reaches the front because the breech has to be closed before it shoots. It probably has a temporary catch that releases once the breech is closed. There is no secondary trigger on the fore-grip.
Small point, not really worth discussing. I was merely musing.

Anyway, I heard from this guy that said his friend saw a Raider in a Toys R Us. He did not want to say where he lived (it is the internet after all), and I am hesitant to believe it. However, he did say that the friend did not know what gun it was, but was able to describe it and he's sure it was a Raider.
I cannot guarantee this is true, it's just what I heard.

Probably before that date in the US. I'd say early July or mid July.Saw this here. Apparently it is gonna be released on July 31. But that is for Europe so I don't know whether it will be in the States before then or later, or right on time!
The sooner the better. (As long as they've worked out the kinks, that is!)
(I forgot to take a picture of my own poppers)
Every size rod you could ever want.

Play sometimes delivers to America by the way guys.
Just looked at the description. "This rapid fire blaster comes with a new drum magazine that holds 35 darts and collapsible stock! Take your missions to the next level! Includes raider blaster, drum magazine, collapsible stock, and 30 darts."
30 Darts? WTF.

Wishful thinking that we'll get it at all ;)Well, if it is coming out late July in Europe, Australia should see it before the next olympics. Maybe
Probably have to import from the US

When you think about it, it's just like the Big Bad Bow, with the hole front handle thing. Of course, it probably has the internals of a longshot/recon, but still.

I finally realized why this gun look so familiar.
When you think about it, it's just like the Big Bad Bow.
Yeah, exactly like it.
In fact, I think they're made from the same mold!

Wait.. WTF! You're right, it does say that... That seems kinda stupid. Hopefully it's a typo.

*revalation* I think I know why the stock looks so flimsy! It's detatchable! Like the recon except hopefully with a larger piston and spring.
Please Pm me if someone said this already and I'll take this down.
1. Yes, it has already been stated that the stock is detachable.
2. I don't think it looks flimsy at all, it looks ALOT better than the Recon's and is styled after the M4 collapsible stock.
