Well, it is very close by and finals will be over by then so I should have a much better chance of convincing some friends to come.

As of yesterday, my car requires extensive repairs totaling 2.5-3x the car's value. It is currently in no condition to be driven to Columbus. If I can buy a new car before the war, then I'll still see everyone there. If not, then I'll see you folks at the next war. So I guess you can reduce my status from a "Maybe" to a "Tenuous Maybe."

Haz-Matt wasn't going to be there anyway. The +1 I was bringing was my girlfriend, S.Wong. (I think only a few of you may have met her.) After our University of Cincinnati Nerf Club got shut down, the total number of nerfers in Cincinnati has dwindled considerably. No more 90+ participant Nerf wars. I'm going shopping for autos this weekend, hopefully I'll be able to buy what I really want.

Still a "Maybe" status at the moment; I've spent the last 2 days looking at cars and have encountered a few promising prospects. While it appears doubtful that I'll be get one of the Corvettes I was examining, I'll at least be able to get something newer and less likely to give cause monetary mayhem in the near future.



And for what it's worth, though we did meet at a Nerf war, we've been dating for nearly a year now; quite some time earlier than the War in Boone Park.

Also he did jump it in the one CTF where you defended the tree from Twitch and he ran and jumped over the creek. It was amazing if you didn't see it. Nerf mafia and Flash could have don a better job of protecting the flag though while they were goofing off not like nerf goofing but you know what I mean.

Look into Hondas and Toyotas. They last for a long while and are easy to get fixed.

Just out of curiosity, are there ever any indoor wars in Ohio?

Bpso, Twitch, and the rest of the Cincinnati gang have done massive indoor wars at UC, but that whole shebang is no longer something they are able to do. I don't think us Ohioans would be opposed to an indoor war (especially considering our winters) but the problem is finding a venue that would 1) let us nerf there and 2) not cost much. Especially considering we usually get about 5-6 people that mysteriously get sick/have transportation issues/whatever and conveniently forget to post about it until the morning of the war

Well, Whetstone park has a very nice, newly renovated facility. The only problem would be getting it rented and not popping a stefan through one of their huge windows.

I've rented that facility before. For weekends, it's $150/hour. I'm down if you're paying.

Based on questions I was asking, Ohio State would allow use of most recreational indoor facilities on Fridays and Saturdays at late night, but I need to get a nerf club started here, and right now they are pressuring the pistol and rifle clubs, so I'm not sure how well they'd like a nerf club. The big modern excercise building thing could be interesting...even has different colored windows in places that could be used to designate bases or areas for more inventive gametypes.

Also, sorry for getting off topic about the current war.

i visited the park today. One thing to note: The google map directions take you to one of the entrances, but the park is on the other. The park is visible from the other entrance, though, so as long as you have basic navigation skills, you can easily get there. In case you can't, just add these to the end of the directions from google maps:

Left at Avalon
Immediate right at Eastcliff

Onto the pictures! First off, I was told this is indeed a public park, even though it is next to a school, so we should have no problems there. Secondly, this park may soon be torn down, so we should definitely use it while we have it. The field to the side is completely barren, so we may need some obstacles if we want to do any "normal" battles, but I think the park will keep us satisfied for a while.
