Part of the reason I think the Spartan is going to be released is that gear window in the stock. If it was just made for the game, why would the bother with the gears? Why not just make it a solid stock?

I REALLY want that long rifle to be made, it reminds me of the deer rifle from Call of Duty 4.

That would be the R700. And you're right it does look like it. Sort of.
TALKI: I'm thinkin that the long drawback may be used to go automatic, by using only a certain length of the drawback to shoot one dart. Which could allow it to do the whole 3-shot burst shpeal that people are talking about. I know that might be a little confusing. If you pull the priming handle back all the way and pull the trigger once, the handle would move X length down the side, pulling the trigger again will move it another X length. Holding down the trigger will shoot X darts at once. Whew, that was a mouthful. Seeing as I could barely put that into a coherent sentence, someone who might understand what I'm trying to get at do it for me.

There's another gun that's increased my interest. Notice the gun to the right of the yellow firefly, both guns are at the bottom, in a row of two, its large. Look at the gun directly above it. It looks sort of like a doubleshot..Interesting. Also, there appears to be a Clint Eastwood reference. Notice the kid named Komodo twirling his revolver, before firing a shot at the screen. That character that turns around is featured in A Fistful of Dollars, on the Rojo's brothers side, named Don Miguel.

Crazy, I believe the grenade launcher perhaps might be the REV one, since that's the only one that appears to be revolving. The raiders bound to be popular for indoor wars, due to the 12 shots, and perhaps outdoors if it gets good modded ranges. The long rifle appears to be one of the ones that may be released in my opinion, as it is not as ridiculous as some of the other guns.

I think you got them confused. The Raider is the 6 shot side loader, featuring the Fore-Grip. The Spartan is the one that resemebles a UMP and has a 12 shot magazine capacity.

PS EDIT: Also, I don't see how the Nerf Long Range Gun looks like the R700. If anything, it looks almost EXACTLY like the Longshot Rifle from Gears of War.

So what you're saying is, it could be like those noisemaking toy guns where you pull back a little knob, and when you pull the trigger it moves forward as it makes sounds. Except in this case, it would be shooting darts.

Wow, this speculation IS getting a bit crazy. But it's inevitable, I suppose...

I think I would want the Raider, the Spartan, and the SemperFire Ultra. They looks insane although there is no way the semperfire ultra will be real just because they said it had 200 rounds!

I don't know about you but I wish they would release some guns with that red paintjob like the recon and vulcan have in the picture. Personally I think a longshot would look amazing in that scheme.

Now assuming thats true split, and I hope it is. If it moves X down the plunger tube, imagine removing the ratchet system and making it go ALL the way down. That would be a freaking huge plunger stroke.

Yes, you could make a multi stage plunger with multiple catches, but that doesn't solve the breach issue. You can have it fire three times, but you can't easily get three darts into the barrel. Also, the darts would have to be loaded in from the shortest plunger stroke for that to work.

I highly doubt Hasbro would release the s. rifle. The shell is far too realistic looking. I'm sure from a legal standpoint they don't want it being painted black and mistaken for a real rifle.

This is my last useless bit of speculation on this.

Perhaps the N in NCS-12 stands for Nano. Maybe Hasbro took a page from our book, made Nano Darts, and you load 3 of them in the magazine at a time, sort of like our shotgun loading. Along with the massive plunger stroke it looks to have, could what causes a '3 shot' burst effect.

Well if the "stats" page is to be believed, it uses micros just like the raider.

Right now i'm guessing the raider is going to be our Jan/Feb release. It's certainly nice, but not nearly as splashy as the magstrike/longshot/vulcan were, and is more in the recon category in that it builds upon the ideas of previous blasters rather than introducing something very new to the line. I'm hoping that the spartan will be released in the summer, though whether the spartan will be released at all remains to be seen

Ok, first off, WHAT THE %SWEARWORD! This topic has only gotten to 6 pages and people are already repeating themselves!!? Second off, CrazyIvan VI, Hasbro already released the Longshot, the Maverick, and the Recon, I don't think they will be afraid of realistic-looking guns. And finally, how do I unsubscribe from a topic?
Always bring your sword to battle.

I pity the fool who attempts to use a single-shot blaster against me.

That's really funny, because I thought that that was my post as well. That's philote actually. I read speculation threads for ideas. That one sounds like it has potential. I may give it a go at some point, though similar set ups have been done, just not with a single plunger.

Quick edit: (I'm not adding to the speculation, just commenting on the gun internals design) the trigger would have to open and close passage ways from the plunger output, or at least have the plunger tube spin (i.e. SS1) as it was firing for that three round burst. Sounds difficult, but the latter idea would definitely be less of a pain to make.

Double edit: I think I see what you're saying - that the darts would load into the chamber right after the one before it was fired quickly enough to not need three barrels. That would require an air tight (or close) clip though, which would prove difficult. I personally think none of these are going to be released. The name patents could be, and probably are, just because they're in the game.

Its the vulcan speculation thread all over again!
In all seriousness could we just wait until Hasbro releases more details until we all go crazy in speculation?

If nerf wanted to make a gun with triple shot bursts, I think they would go with a gun similar to the Wildfire and only allow three darts to be fired per trigger pull. Not too much modding potential but it would not jam.

At least in the Vulcan thread we knew the Vulcan existed... ;)

This is just ridiculous. Speculating on a confirmed new release is one thing, but speculating on guns that will quite possibly never see production? You're setting yourself up for disappointment. At least wait til we know which guns are coming out.

We'll find out soon enough anyway. OMC has never let us down.

personally i'm most intruiged by the "foam sword" thing. why in the world would hasbro think it would be a good idea to add a sword to the nerf line? maybe it will be a seperate line like nerf footballs, hoops, etc. i just hope that they don't make a stupid move like that

I don't like adding to this snowball speculation thread, but this is not speculation...

I observed the trailer frame-by-frame with my editing software. When it scrolled through the list of guns with the little box full of information and stats, I saw something.

All the names of the guns that exist were marked with a little "tm" at the end.

The giant ball launcher called the "crusher" did not have one and neither did the "Semperfire Ultra", because they are made-up.

But the Titan, Longshot, Maverick, Vulcan, Raider, and Spartan were all marked with that "tm" at the end of the name.

So based off of this evidence, it seems like they're making the Spartan and Raider. Also, the Spartan's stats mentioned 3-shot bursts...cool.

I even checked the entire thread to make sure no one said this before.

Holy fuck. I want this game so much. It's good thing I chose the Wii over an X-box 360 x-mas last year. This is SO going on my Christmas list. You know, why do people bash the Wii so much? I have at least 15 games for it, and there are only 3 that I don't like. Most of the games are really fun.

It's not that people bash the Wii, its just that for every good game on the Wii there are 12 on the 360.

Fail? That hurts. That bold size 4 font pierces my very soul.

But hey, give me some credit...what reason do you think Hasbro would have for trademarking the Raider/Spartan but not the others?
