Simply put force is mass and velocity. A potato has a TON more force because it weighs a lot more. I can put a D cell batter much farther than a nerf dart!

You get to shut up too. Absolutely most basic and fundamental law of physics: Force equals mass time acceleration. Can someone please just lock/close this thread? It's absolutely horrific.

Yes, 600fps behind a large enough chunk of potato will puncture your skin with ease.
Longshot weilder, yes, you are an idiot.
Zaphod, airspeed and drag have nothing to do with density besides mass.

This thread just shouts CoC.

airspeed and drag have to do with mass and the surface area of the object. what I'm saying is, the smaller the face of the projectile, the less drag it will have. That's why, up till a certain point, heavier projectiles go further. I said density because I wasn't exacly sure what the other term was, and density is close enough to what I mean. I know it's not precise, but it's far closer than what was previously said.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

So what's the help to him if nothing is accurate.

This whole thread is just people saying stuff that most of them know very little about. {Edit- Re-reding your posts, you're completely wrong. Just stop.} There is a lot of half-assed explanation going on, and I don't think any of it is helpful in the least. That includes the posts that are correct and helpful, since they are nearly indistinguishable from the others.

In the end, the topic creator has stopped posting in his thread a month ago. It may be just me, but I still say lock/close it.
