Well, I realized long ago that the ranges of my Mech Tommy 20 were not worthy of making it my primary. However, they were more than good enough to be a pistol sidearm. So I set about minimizing my Tommy 20 into pistolesque size. I realize that it still really isn't the size of a pistol, but still. I also supercharged it, and, as far as I can tell, there are no pictures of a supercharged MT20 on the 'Haven yet.

I chopped off the stock and battery case and supercharged it with a 9v battery.

What do y'all think?

EDIT: I also filled all of its inner nooks and crannies with FBR to reduce the noise it makes while running.

Did you find a way to make the ammo stay in? I like the idea of mounting it on a bike. Have you range tested it yet?

I like it. If you were at a park, you could ride along the trails and to a drive-by sort of thing. But I also would like to know ranges, and differences between stock and modded ranges, just to see how supercharging it affects ranges. And how large is it, like in your hand?

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

Toilet paper is for your ass, not your nerf gun.
Try craft foam if you want to add cushioning to the handle.

Well, I just mounted it on my bike for fun. I didn't intend to shoot anybody but my brother with it. Right now, it gets about 45'-50', which is much better than the 20'-25' it got stock. It's about the size of an Eagle Eye, as in too large to be a pistol, but too small to be a rifle.

Then i would assume it goes under the Sub-machinegun/carbine category.
Neat-o.
You just gave me an idea.

45-50ft? With 20 rounds that'll make a great secondary. Reloading would be a pain so maybe not so much... but good job.

The nice thing about loading the MT20 is that you can do it piecemeal - meaning you don't have to wait until it is empty to reload. Due to its revolving nature, you can simply load as many slots as possible whenever you have time. The real trick is keeping the thing quiet enough that it doesn't announce your presence to the whole world when it is turned on.

I've never owned a MT20 so I may be wrong, but since it's on your bike you may want to try to make it rear loading for an easier re-load time.

Finally someone else did this. I did that to mine a while ago but I didn't add extra batteries and the cut part hurt my hand a bit so I wrapped that part in e-tape so now it doesn't hurt. Also I have heard that using a 9 volt battery isn't as good for it as using a couple AA batteries but it does add more range.

You can bet that bicycle-mounted warriors will become prominent in nerf warfare after this. A sort of Cavalry.
Always bring your sword to battle.

I pity the fool who attempts to use a single-shot blaster against me.

Eboreg:

I don't think it would be allowed... but still, thanks for all of the replies everyone, I look forwards for more.

NerfCrazy:

You're right, 9volts could burn out the motor if used for too long, but it greatly increases the range.

Galaxy613:

Reloading isn't really a problem, since I never have to.

Angel_of_DEATH:

Cool! What's your idea?

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. This really made my day.

Does anyone want a writeup? It's spring break; I have plenty of time to recreate the mod's steps.

Longshot, plus Tommy 20 on the underside where a frontgun integration would be,= best HvZ weapon ever, I've never been to one, but I've heard zombies run from the sound of a Tommy 20 being revved up, and the Longshot is pretty formidable on it's own.

Unless you rework the turbines, you won't be able to rear load. Why? The turbines are designed to catch the micro suction head.

I 9 volted my last one, and it still hasn't fried yet.

A working partner of mine has the gun, so if you REALLY want a functionality mod for this, I can do it when I get home in about 2 weeks.

Sucker is still loud as hell ;)

I'll take that as a challenge. Make yours more functional than mine.

About the loudness: did you fill it with FBR to damper the noise?
