Look, the first 3 seasons were good. I bet your solely judging on the disgraceful seasons of 4, 5, and 6.

Oh, yes. The first seasons were excellent. I also enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh greatly. I think they have a Spongebob Yu-Gi-Oh card. I gotta check that out.

Psych. No, I think any show about a sponge and a starfish frolic in the meadows together, raise baby clams as their own and go "camping" in their backyard in the same tent is a little...oh, I don't know...gay for anyone over the age of 11?

Welcome to I-dont-care-isburg, population: me.
We're located in I-Don't-Give-a-Damn County, in scenic Shut-the-Hell-Up-achussets.
Maybe you're familiar with our annual charity drive where we ask for shit, and no one gives any.

I think I am going to sigg that. But how old is spongebob? My theory is around 20, but I really don't know. I have'nt watched since I was 10, so I don't know if his age has been mentioned or something.

Spongebob's age is somewhat of a mystery. He's old enough to have a job and a car, yet he cries often, runs around trying to catch jellyfish, and generally acts like a child.

and most of them don't watch cartoons. So why post about it?

The violent and bloody anime that Cartoon Network has on late and IFC has On Demand are all cartoons. They are also rife with profanity, violence, and sexual inuendo. Most of it falls between what would be PG-13 and R rating.

Long story short, I still watch cartoons. But cartoons are technically just a form of animation. You shouldn't rule them out completely.

Spongebob has it's moments, and as far as being childish or immature, it has many suggestive episodes and references.

Yes your right about that. I meant the cartoons that are on during the day, like Spongebob and Jimmy Neutron.

I've never understoob sponge bob as it is merely a show about a sponge who wears pants. I could get just as much amusement or more out of taking a regular sponge and putting pants on it, atleast then that way he can wear some cool things with flames and not that typical shirt thing he wears.

I also dont understand the obsession with sponge bob by teen age girls. You have no idea how many times I've been turned off of a girl I find drop dead gorgeous when she breaks out the Sponge bob backpack and starts yelling "Goofy Goober" at the top of her lungs. To me, its an idiotic waste of time brought on by immense boredom and mental retardation. Seriously. When has a show about a kitchen clean up devise ever been funny? (Bully Mays aside). Thats right. NEVER!. So why are people still obsessed over it? I guess this all boils down to my cynical view on the world in that the mainstream population is nothing but a bunch of mindless, television inhaling fuckwits and the only true way to find inteligence is in the small dedicated servers of nerf sites and indie videogames.

This thread makes my head hurt.

To those deriding other people: YOU ARE ON A FORUM DEVOTED TO MODIFYING TOY GUNS

To those complaining about the decline in quality of a children's cartoon: BAWWWWWW. Children's cartoons have sucked hard for the past 10-15 years. Spongebob sucks less than the rest of them, but watching Nickelodeon is kind of painful.

To those saying a person will get banned/suspended because of Off Topic: MOST of the Off Topic threads are pure retardation. Such actions are usually indicative of a much larger problem with their conduct. They're rarely a primary reason for someone being suspended.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

To add to Slug's post, usually posts in off-topic are not a reason to get banned. However, situations involving someone posting obscene pictures/retarded images in off topic can and will very likely result in a ban. I recall a few years back where that happened, and there was a flurry of suspensions, so I just figured I'd put that out there. So no obscene pictures/retarded images should be posted anywhere on NH, even in off-topic.
