Always wanted to see your equipment in person :)

For the record, you really should be fearing Groove and myself. Combined you are looking at about a decade of destruction in terms of actual time spent nerfing, not just talking about it.

Oh, I definitely know to run away from you and Groove. The first sign of those Raybans of his, and I'll likely try to find some cover to duck behind.

It's just that I'd love to see CaptainSlug's homemades in action, even if it means standing there like an idiot after I've been hit.

And I'm not 100% ruled out of this one yet, just 99%.

And I got both Groove and OMC out in one round with only a sword.

due to finals right now, I'll just give a prelim on whats going on at our end. We will probably have at least three types of games we will play, including, but not excluding others, Deathmatch, Team DM, CTF -single and multi flag, HvZ flash games(quick games that are much like HvZ but more hardcore to have a smaller zombie-human turnover time), Protect the VIP(escort type two teams one defending one attacking), Gladiatorseen here, as well as defense games where one team needs to defend a location for a certain amount of time. Any other suggestions are very welcome but please should be kept succinct so this thread doesn't...unravel.
In addition we are attempting to reserve two buildings for the war, so we can switch midway through the day. It might cost us some money, if it does I will ask for donations(if the price is reasonable in the first place.) I hopefully won't need to make the donation mandatory. We want this huge.

Count me in. I'll be coming with G1Shark. I'm the "Overboard Modder" that he was talking about. I'll try to bring my tamer guns for this if you prefer it, otherwise, I'm bringing my powerhouses.

And G1Shark's Flags are very sturdy. we've used them for Juggernaut games (person who is "it" gets a flag and nothing else. however, it takes 5 shots from one person to take The "It" guy out. "it" guy gets to use the flag as a melee weapon and one hit kills) They can take quite the beating, I've been on the receiving end on more than one occasion.

We'd prefer you bring a range of weaker and stronger guns, as the HvZ flash game in particular can get dangerous if you shoot at point blank with "powerhouses," and with this type of game, you WILL be shooting at point blank. For most games though, the heavy hitters will be fine as long as they would be acceptable in most nerf wars.

QFT. I've only been warring for a year now and my only real accomplishment in terms of reputation is having Famine randomly say I'm more competent than he thought I was we he first met me.

last bump before I start the official new topic, since this is definitely happening now. What do YOU guys want to see at this? I mean, which types would you like to play, would you mind indoor and outdoor play, please any input before everything is pretty much set in stone? We reserved one building but couldn't get the other. No biggie, this building is amazing.

I what indoor facility are we looking at. I always wanted to go to an indoor war. Not too excited about a outdoor war as much as an indoor. Don't know if I'm going though. There aren't as many indoor wars these days so the indoor section should be like the main course. Also, maps and direction would help on how to get there. I live like 10 minutes away but I'm not too familiar with the campus so some assistance would be nice.

I can't think of anything else I'd like to play. You have mentioned a large variety of games already, which is usually more than what we see at most given wars. Classic archetypes are usually what make up the "meat" of most organized NIC wars, but I'm always open to trying a new game type out. Personally, I would like to see Team DM, CTF, and try a HvZ mini-game and play outside if the weather is decent.

The place is practically a maze, with 1 elevator, one cargo elevator, at least 7 stairways, and most floors have different designs. If you've ever been to UMD, it's the Art/Sociology building. To get to the war, go down 193 or route 1 to get to Lot 1 preferably. See here:

http://www.studentor...round_Stamp.jpg

go here and click on Art Sociology building to see where it is in relation to lot 1. On the above picture, is it below the lot:

Do you mean play the HvZ outside? or everything? We will probably plan to play at least HvZ outside, as it's much too dangerous to play inside with people running at other people and so many hard surfaces. I've already got the HvZ scenario planned out. We will run one of our more intense scenarios from this semester. Hopefully enough people will show that it will be amazing.

Seeing as I'm dragging my ass out of hibernation early for reckoning, I am interested in coming down to this as well. More than anything else I'd just like to see how you guys run things. I'm not a deffinate, but pending the fallout from Reckoning this seems like a deffinate possibility. That said, a sunday won't work for me. It's gotta be the 19th for me even to consider it.

It look s like Maryann and I may be coming down to this event as well as Reckoning. I have been dying to go to an indoor war. I already have some plans for the elevators and I may be coming down with a few new modded guns. See you all there!

awesome, I'll add you three to the list. And just for the record, we will have a special set of rules in case there are still some people in the building. We should be asking to make sure that we are not in anyone's way, asking if we are being too loud, and not moving anything that shouldn't be moved. If we ARE in anyone's way, we move away from that area at once, apologizing, and resume nerfing. For this whole interaction, no points may be scored. The game in the immediate area should halt.

I am still in for the 19th. Fellow Njer's planning on coming down, we can discuss @ Reckoning. I will be staying at my gf's place in Glen Burnie, MD, so you'll have to figure out your own sleeping arrangements if you are going to overnight it.
