Ignore what I originaly Posted, I found the missing part and got it figured out, anywho:

Check out my new Electric Eel!:

Posted Image

I basicaly just sawed off the front end, and removed all the electronics, Put Pex Tubing inside the clip, and drilled out the air restrictors, I intend to put a better spring in this badboy once I find one. and I'm going to do some more cosmetic work to it and paint it so that it is compleetly De-Eeled.

A "de-eeled" Electric Eel.

Very nice.

Is it a counterpart to the Sawtooth? The clip looks familiar, as does the pistol grip. The Sawtooth has that side cocking lever instead of the EaB looking handle in the back.

Hope to see (and do) more mods of blasters besides the usual xbows and BBBs. More of the 2nd string stuff.

Good job.

It looks nice. I would rather have the cool photon(sp) stuff though.

I think it's the Little Brother Of the Sawtooth, Nerf Took all the things that made the sawtooth Iffy and got rid of them On The Electric Eel.

You pull back the plunger rod and it advances the clip, the clip advancement system is sadly what's going to keep this thing rather bulky. I've had bad weather around me lately, but I should be able to post ranges today.

I decided to get rid of it since 1 I don't use megas, 2 don't have any glow micros or the smaller diameter PETG, and 3 because I didn't need that, i was able to take the front end off.

The next step is to get the last part of the rounded front off, and remove the top where the batteries used to go. I'm not sure how I'll be replacing the empty places in the plastic yet, but I'll find something.

Something to fill the empty holes.

I dunno. Maybe.

This project of yours is gonna come out good, I can already tell.

Are you going to fabricate a handle to put on the trigger? I've used an EE before an it's not comfortable to grip really. Two reasons are 1)the grip is too vertical for me & 2) it's really small.

I assume you bought one of those special screwdrivers then, eh? I tried opening mine up years ago, but didn't feel like buying a special driver kit.

Or did you figure out a way to use a standard tool?

i Did the same thing Starbuck did to open up his comlinks, I used a grinder and made my own triangular screwdriver using an old phillips screwdriver.

EDIT: I went and bought some Great Stuff Gap Filler spray, and i'm using it to fill up the excess space created by removing stuff, so far, so good.

Pretty sweet, hopefully you'll get good range. How does PEX work for barrels? And how comparable is it to CPVC?

WHY??? The poor screwdriver...

You can just stick a smaller flathead in two of the 3 corners and it turns just fine.

You're bringing that sucker to YANO in 2 weeks, right? I must see this...

it wasn't a good enough screwdriver do use for it's original purpose.

of course I'll bring it to YANO, assuming it is complete by then.
