I do. With rear-loading better than yours!

Your sister rear loads?

I hear she prefers ramrods and vacuum loading.

Super sexy, yo!

I stuck a 1/2 bushing in the back like so

Posted Image

Then took the back thingy off a recon, put a 3/4 coupler (fits perfectly) and then nested a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer inside of that. Then all that was left was to put a stub of pvc on it. (Ignore the petg)

Posted Image

This allows it to use a pvc stock or an nstrike stock, and can be applied to any blaster.

"Tony Stark was able to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps! "

Captain slug was able to build this in a cave! With a box of reverse plungers!

Also those darts look awesome, kane. Can't wait for a writeup.

Alright, so this isn't much, but I thought it was unique enough to share with you guys.

Blowguns can actually be very effective when used correctly, but one of their bigger downfalls is that since you need a very long barrel to get good performance with one, it's hard to carry them unless they're your primary blaster. This is especially an issue since blowguns are a great secondary longish range weapon, for if your primary blaster jams, or you run out of darts in your hopper and don't have time to reload it. Here's an idea to overcome that.

I drilled through part of the tee with a dremel drill bit. Then I put a bandolier thingy through it. I used 3 feet of pipe, and the strap was easily adjustable to be quite snug when on my back. I can easily run with this on, and is very light.

1/2 Sch. 40 on the top for tagger darts, and thickwall pvc for stefans. (mcmaster part 48855K21)

I can get about 65 feet with slugs at very slight angle. I really like this setup and hope to use it at my next war.

Mcmaster #48855K21 is also a great springer fit for loghome/bigben foam. It fits in 1/2 pvc couplers.

So if you got 200+ from one sheet then you like 10,000 heads from that $5 pack of 50?

Sweet deal.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm going to be buying material for captain slug's washer/felt stefans, and wanted to know if I could buy the foam in incriments of something between 25' and 250'. Optimally I would like 100'.

Here is the link to the part in question.

Thanks!

Here is what you want.

Same exact thing you linked to, but in 20' sections instead of 250' sections. I know you want it in 25'+, but is ordering 4x25' that much different from 5x20'?

I can't thank you enough.

#285502 Guide To Barrel Material

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 September 2010 - 02:16 PM in Modifications

Does anyone know if any petg usable by the nic is avaliable on McMaster?

I am looking for a suitable barrel material for springs and air guns that would fit This foam. I would like to stay away from brass if at all possible. What would you suggest?

#287857 Guide To Barrel Material

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 03 November 2010 - 03:50 PM in Modifications

1/2" CPVC is way too small (i.e. can't even force the dart all the way in)

Sorry if you've already tried this, but when I first tried using cpvc as a barrel material I also thought it was way too tight. I, however, was just trying to push it in, instead of twisting. If you haven't already, try twisting the foam into the cpvc.

Sorry if that doesn't help you.

Springer barrel material --> 9245K25
Airgun barrel materials --> 48855K21

Try searching next time.

I apologize. Thank you very much for your help. I've been looking all day for that.

One last suggestion:

Nest cpvc in pvc and them ream it out as if you were constructing a barrel for a hopper. Try to make this as deep as possible.

This should significantly improve ease of loading.

I was banned from nerfchat while I was away at school. I'm not sure why. Looking at my logs it seems like they were just dicking around, but they never unbanned me.

<Langley> I'm sure someone will reactivate him if it's permanent.

Try joining again, I've been banned from the irc multiple times, and it usually expires in a few hours. If not, pm draconis or obob.

Wait, it isn't Christmas?....Oh...

Fantastic work, BoltSniper, it's a shame the majority of the NIC does not have access to the tules required to make one of these. I'm guessing they're too much work for you to make a batch and sell them at a profit?

#294641 Rpmbnb! Updated With More Goodies!

What really excites me is that the possibilities are ENDLESS.

Literately. How difficult is it to make the design files? I'm unfamiliar with the program. For example, a magstrike clip?

#295285 Pepé

Mind blowing as always. I'm also interested how many rf20 pumps it takes to get the tank to a usable pressure.

#292543 Long Range Primary?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 10 January 2011 - 10:39 AM in General Nerf

I was actually thinking of making a Ja-bow, seen here. It's so incredibly simple that I have to try it. In addition, I will still get a Big Blast and make a RSCB clip for it. Can someone with clip fabbing experience tell me what diameter and types of pvc are used in this image Posted Image

The OP said nothing about what types and measurements went where and this looks much simpler than the old tutorial in Nerfhaven's mods section. I do know that the joints are 1/2" and there is both CPVC and PVC involved. I just need a description of which is where so I can put one together.

I think this should work out pretty well right?

If you're willing to spend the time/money an aabow would be a much better choice.

A name suggestion would be "SnipR3"

Not only would "snipre" be a bit more unique, but it keeps the "R3"

Are there any texas nerfers still interested in something like this?

#295000 The Right Airtank

I also think a 4b would be the best bang for your buck / effort. A tank expanded 4b can easily fire 4 darts at 50 feet.

#293396 Scammed Again For $190!

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 26 January 2011 - 02:33 PM in General Nerf

I don't know about you, but it takes some serious effort to build up a positive reputation here on the Haven as a good Buyer/Seller. Maybe you should think about selling in our threads.

Although that seems like a great idea, the cold hard truth is nobody here is going to want to buy a shittily painted black and silver recon. Not even for $40. He was selling something that only stupid children on ebay would buy, and guess who bought it? A stupid child on ebay.

#294586 Barrel Material For Stock Micros

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 February 2011 - 06:33 PM in Modifications

Your best bet is to put a cpvc coupler on the night finder plunger tube (either epoxying one inside of the plunger tube after dremeling to fit or put a 3/4 pvc coupler over the plunger tube, nest a 3/4 to 1/2 inside that and hammer a sanded down cpvc coupler into that" Then use 3-4 inches of cpvc depending on mods done.

#294629 Barrel Material For Stock Micros

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 17 February 2011 - 04:52 PM in Modifications

If you have problems with cpvc being too tight, this is what I personally do

here

Don't do that, there's a reason that thread was closed and you received a scathing comment from Talio.

#294680 Barrel Material For Stock Micros

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 18 February 2011 - 01:55 PM in Modifications

I would actually recommend mcmaster petg over cpvc but I doubt you are comfortable with mcmaster judging by your post quality.

Short answer as stated numerous times is to attach a cpvc coupler to the plunger tube. To answer your question there is no "definitive answer" because this is all subjective.
