Lego Atlantis Harpoon Blaster. Elbow secured onto the airtank, dremeled out spot in shell, and a spiffy RSCB with a clear PVC clip and a CPVC barrel. No dart door, because I've been lazy and haven't gotten around to buying the materials. Shoots harder then your regular Big Blast. The new pivot trigger-bigger back tank designs are making these guns almost as powerful as Titans.

My new pistol.
Oh, you just think that this is just a normal 1st gen modded NiteFinder, right?
Complete with:
PT replaced-Spring replacement(industrial)-Seal improval-Super duper long screw so the plunger head will never fly off-
Catch spring with a higher constant than a K19(don't take my word on it though)-Minimization-Brass compartments in handle for dart storage-Draw extended
Well guess what; you're wrong. So, so wrong.
One side clear, one first gen. Sooo sexy, it looks extremely badass in person.
Ranges, you might say? They're enough, but definitely more than my old pistol. No padding on the plunger head? Why should I, when they never meet.

Meet: the new and improved RogueFinder.
Draw extension, INSANE padding(pic below), very strong catch spring to hold a beastly spring, ziptie keeps the top of the gun held together, bottom dremeled out in preparation for an integration.
I decided to keep the original spring that was in it before the draw extension, but due to the draw extension the spring would hit full compression, which severely weakens the spring. Therefore, the massive padding. It also serves as a cushion from impact and silences the blaster!
With a 5 inch CPVC barrel and single BB stefans(1/5''), it hits cardboard from 20 feet away very hard. My guess is roughly 70 feet.

I had the original which doesn't look much different than the sequel, and it was very fun. Way more team oriented than a game such as MW2.Anyone pick up Bad Company 2 yet? It looks pretty awesome. Wanted to get some real people reactions to it.
Oh yeah, aside from that I'm a MW2 fanatic.

I'm actually kind of jealous, considering I have a MacBook to run games off of.
#263013 Guide To Barrel Material
Posted by hawkshot on 24 January 2010 - 07:30 PM in Modifications
I am re-barreling some guns with 17/32 brass.
1. How long should a longshot's barrel be?
2. How long should a recon's barrel be?
3. How long should a raider's barrel be?
1. Usually with a spring upgrade Longshots can handle a 12 inch barrel.
2. Recons are so weak that if you try to brass breech one it won't turn out well.
3. I believe Zorn's Lemma's brassed Raider contract had the barrel the same length as the original barrel. I would recommend checking with him first, though.

Name: The Blue Monster
Mods Done: Level 4?. Bolts behind spring rests, sheet metal in front of the spring rest, plunger rod reinforced. BnA spring. Plunger tube made by Split, and gives an almost perfect seal. Catch spring addition/replacement.
Integrations: N/A, but that's changing soon
Comments: Name is a spinoff of Ryan McNumber's green xbow, on page 2 of this thread. The pictures were taken by Merzlin after he finished painting it, but it still looks the same.
The ranges are horrible, and I have no clue what's wrong, so I'll be buying homemade internals from Draconis soon.

No, but the hotel we're staying at is only 15 minutes from the park. My chances are looking good for making this. You're staying with John, right? I live like a 2 minute walk away from him, really close. I could very easily provide you with transportation and blasters. Even if you don't go to this war, we should still try and meet if possible. It would be an honor.

I demand pics of the unfair gun
I swear, that thing was rediculous. It was a homemade air gun, constructed from something like 2 inch PVC that was around 4 inches long hooked up to a regulator he bought at Home Depot, so all the air didn't plop out at once. Connected to that when necessary was what looked like 3 feet of tubing which connected to a backpack of Pvc which connected to a bike pump with a psi guage. Don't worry Bob, he had psi guages all over this thing and didn't take it over 20 psi. Oh yeah, might I mention it also sported a three foot long cpvc breech?

When I believe it was Venom who shot the unfair gun at the staging table, and the gust of air knocking over the Coca-Cola shake and spilling all over atomatron, sitting under the table to avoid the rain.

+LS/AT10k pwns
+Stormfinders pwn, especially the original
+Optimus Primary is for sure my new primary.
-Hobo's younger brother stepping on my NEW 3k contract, and now the shell's cracked... Ryan, expect a PM soon.
+Good turnout....9 able-bodied Nerfers
+For the most part, some great sportsmanship
+Several good trades between members....people getting Guns/material for new projects
+Medic and VIP rounds were made of Awesome
+Intense Portable's action
+Pinz's parents bought Gatorade, cups and subs for us.
~I'm jealous of Rogue's stef drum.
+Okay, I know you guys were scared of Optimus, but now just think what you'll be feeling like when there's a AT10k under it. Dun dun dun!
-Lot's of Rogue's guns broke, including the RogueShot. Thank god it was nothing serious, and the RogueShot lives to see another day. But his Recon/3k thing is now in the hands of UF320...I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
+Optimus shoots laser straight, got some crazy kills, and took some.
+Bruce the shark is great with a NF. He had 7 speedloaders with him.
+Rogue says I'm becoming a very good Nerfer!
+Hobo, also with a Overhauled 3k, holding his own. You just need to focus on your ROF and aiming and I'll be really scared
+The PAS Pinz and I worked on at the Mod Party actually did quite well, for the times it was catching. Imagine if you were the PAS, with 3 springs and you, the trigger, had no reinforcement or springs.
+Rogue's guest was very cool.
+Soggy did pretty well
+Dang, no pizza this war. The subs were great though.
+First time I've ever drank Monster
And many more.
I'll be editing this as I remember things.
