#265810 You May Not Want To Re-barrell Your 4b Just Yet...

Posted by b1g13en on 17 February 2010 - 09:07 PM in Modifications

Wouldn't it be cheaper if you make rockets with Foam Pipe Insulation than using these?

http://nerfhaven.com...showtopic=17273 <- I was referring to making these.

#300132 The Two (or Three) Hour Homemade

Posted by b1g13en on 19 June 2011 - 12:31 AM in Homemades

For the trigger setup is the screw supposed to be screwed into the check valve? What length screw are you guys using for the triggers ( if it helps I am planning to use the pvcT setup) or it doesn't really matter? Also any tips on hole to drill into the center of the tee?

Just wondering would you recommend covering all three sides or just one side is enough?

This game is like a real time RISK. I think maybe should color the tips of the blank end of the sticks so it's easier to flip the appropriate one. On the other hand having players to search for the correct stick makes things harder and maybe better for the game itself.

This is a very cool homemade but doesn't the 3b function just like that?

#331689 Rockwell BladeRunner for homemade?

Posted by b1g13en on 08 July 2013 - 09:30 PM in General Nerf

Hey people,
Has anyone ever used a Rockwell RK7321 BladeRunner for homemade nerf applications. I would like to use it for making straight cuts and
barrel spacers. Any input is appreciated

I have one and use it for all cuts I make pretty much. The only think I have found is that it is not going to perform small internal cuts very well.

Thank you for replying. Do you have trouble making small external cuts for like triggers or catch plates?

Well you can use white foam darts and black lights.

#297475 LED stefans?

I realize that it would be way to much weight for a dart. With that being said it confuses me how Nerf used their glowing dart for the firefly.

The firefly darts uses a sticker that wraps around the dart

So you use the orange rubber tube to push the check valve right? Wouldn't it jam the check valve?

Let see if you can do a QUAD +bow. haha

If you were thinking of not use a link breech maybe you can try using a breech where the polycarb are over lapped one of them. This way you can fire and load the top breech without opening the second one. Also you still can open both breeches by sliding the bottom breech. In this setup you still get a single and a link feel to the breech.

#277489 Deluge Tanks Doubleshot Mod

Did you took out the check valves from the original tanks? If you did then did you put check valves on the tubing?
The check valves I used are from Petco. I just put them in the tubing between the "T" and the tank expansions. I kinda zipped through that section of the write up so I am sorry the clarity is lacking.
Is the check valve the blue thingy before the T? I asked because if you shot the first tank what is keeping the second tank from leaking into the first one?

Hey guys, I've always heard if the foam is too tight for your barrel stretching would help. But if you do stretch it wouldn't it gradually pop itself back to its original dimensions? Or when expose to summer heat wouldn't it get fatter again? What does stretching the foam actually do to the foam?

#272642 Cpvc Coupler Issues

Anyone have tips on keeping the cpvc barrel from falling off coupler without gluing them together?

#315131 Calibrating Oversized Dart Diameter to Barrel ID

Posted by b1g13en on 03 May 2012 - 01:02 AM in Darts and Barrels

I tried heating some cpvc barrel material with a common coffee warmer instead of metal on a cooktop. I had some (19!) barrels cut to 2 1/2" for an absolver. There's a rubber band holding them together. The warmer is not a particularly powerful one. I tried mine on high and it deformed a few barrels so I would stick to low at first. In usage I found it best to load it with darts (to about 1/4" of the bottom) and then place it on the warmer for 15 - 20 minutes (longer for stock darts). It's hard to gauge but my darts melted a bit at the bottom when they were done. A little less gets a tighter dart but over 25 minutes started to deform the surface of the foam.

Have you tried putting the cpvc with blanks in them and heating it in the dryer?

I am not the host but I feel that slingshots are way too heavy to be used safely even with felt pad. With those weight you can go pass the 110' mark out of most if not all of the 100' hitting primaries.
